One of the most beautiful experiences in life is to witness a Pro Stocker doing a dry hop after a burnout. Topping that is actually DOING a dry hop in a Pro Stocker. 1500hp slamming you back into the seat for a part of a second, as the mighty, huge, V8 slams that 2500 pound (or so) car around.

Especially poignant when viewed from the side (this is straight to the side-view of some dry hops)

Also, Youtube offered this turbo racer that goes 7.29. (Funny how it is 1/100th slower than the Warren Johnson Pro Stocker in the prior clip.)

What is funny is that he tows a trailer to the venue with his race car, sporting huge knobby street tires.

Grassroots racers are where much of our innovations come from. You know, the class of people the enemy politicians are trying to eliminate?

Strangely, another (mega-sleeper) Nova.

I think his sixty-foot times may improve if his front wheels were actually touching the ground at 60 feet... because the timer beam is tripping on his rear wheels, evidently.
One of the most perfect launches and runs I have ever seen.

I like those cars the best, big surprise!! Years ago at my local track we had a guy that ran a rusty old 69 GTO. We called him cheap Charlie, it looked like hell but was one of the quickest cars there. He drove it in, & drove it home.

I wonder what would be involved in making a truly shocking Hellcat sleeper. Fives? Fours? Rockets?
