Going to be like this for a while. New cars are in short supply due to various factors and the factory and dealers have cut way back on any incentives. It is not even out of the ordinary for those vehicles for which there is a higher demand -- like the higher performance cars -- for dealers to raise the price above "sticker".

Car shoppers/buyers are experiencing the flip side of when demand was low and supply was high and the factory and dealers were offering incentives. I don't recall any one complaining about the low prices because of the Power Dollars discounts...

Remember price is not fact only an opinion.

Just because the dealer might have some ADM on the vehicle you can choose to ignore it and make an offer, a serious offer, for vehicle at a lower price. That ADM might evaporate rather quickly if the dealer believes he is losing a customer to another car dealer. And it doesn't have to be a Dodge dealer and the same car. You can have a list of candidate vehicles of various brands, similar price ranges (but none above what you want to pay for the Hellcat Durango) so the dealer thinks if you walk out the door you'll end up at another dealer and buy a car there. You won't be back a few days later resigned to paying his ADM for the Durango.

Supply and demand. One year only specialty vehicle on top of the chip shortage. I would expect nothing less at this point.

Unless you ordered one and made a deal with your dealer you will not find one now for anything close to MSRP. One year only, cant order any more and high demand for it to begin with will guarantee that sits above MSRP till it sells

All hellcats are getting a lot of press right now. Whether it is because they are being stolen, or the Durango can out drag anything to 100 mph, or petrol heads are bemoaning the demise of pure ICE power...new car availability is at an all time low...so high prices..

Yeah, they're making Hellcat Durangos 1 year with a fixed limit of 2,000 units. You're not going to find one at MSRP, definitely not one below MSRP, and you'd be lucky to get any incentives unless you were one of the early bird orders. Any that land on the lot unspoken for are going to be premium priced for profit, not for quick sell.

There are four Durango hellcats within 50miles of me. All can be had for no more than MSRP according to the dealer websites. Funny enough though you won’t find a Charger or Challenger Hellcat of any type within 250 miles.

I wouldnt expect any deals. At the wholesale (dealer only) auction we attend weekly there was a black on black loaded one last week. A dealer paid $110k before fees.

Just lucked into an DDHC order the buyer backed out of, it’s not been built yet but I locked price in 4K under MSRP. Getting what I paid for my 21 Durango SRT in trade so it’s like I never had the SRT. Was pure luck and I couldn’t say no.

I'm a diehard Mopar guy but their pricing out some of their customers. Do I feel a Durango on the outgoing chassis is priced to high yes, do I love it yes, is there a demand yes. I get it! All I'm saying it sometimes seems abusive from dealers Ive worked with in the past willing to lose future business.
