Hi all.

Winter is coming up and with 6 people in the car, there is no room for boards/skiis. I'm thinking of either a rooftop box or I've seen these slanted boxes that can be installed on the hitch and lean towards the trunk. Anyone have anything they tried or tested that you can recommend that could fit extra luggage and or skiis/boards?

Thanks!

Thanks, challenge is that hellcats have no roof box mounts ... Looking around maybe indeed hitch options are better. Thule has one but for skiis, not for snowboards... I'll look at yokima too, maybe they have something, thanks for recommendation.

What kind of hitches are available (hellcat Durango) I have no spare tire. There’s like a steel bumper support bolted blocking that plastic panel you pop off to access if you did have a tow package. I’m guessing that steel support gets replaced if you do buy a hitch?

is there any hidden hitches for these vehicles? I have a mountain bike, not heavy only 30lbs and would like some sorta hidden hitch to mount a single bike rack. Don’t really want to look at an ugly hitch when not in use.

Anyone make hidden hitches for these that you can pop off the plastic panel and just stick in whatever attachment? Seems to have some frame in the way. Just got a new mountain bike. Don’t wanna have to keep driving over to my parents house and borrow their truck every week, but also don’t want an ugly hitch sticking out when I’m not using it.
If you ordered the truck with a tow package it will be there. If not then I believe you can install the oem mopar kit after the fact.

Yep I don’t have the tow package. It’s all empty back there.I just saw a video of an OEM hitch from dodge being installed on a 2021 RT, looked almost identical. Seemed to be nice and hidden behind that plastic panel. Gunna look into that more. I don’t even need the wiring since I’m not even towing a trailer.

Ya. You can then hide it if you're not using it with the plastic cover.

I have a hitch mounted snowboard rack. It works awesome. Holds 4 boards.

Looks good! Thanks for sharing!
How is it under heavier acceleration or at higher speeds? I feel like a Thule rooftop box would be steadier, but since the hellcat doesn't have options for roof rails, it has the delete, I'm worried if i get the ones that hold to door top panels, I'll scratch it.. so I'd prefer this option you have, just worried that someone will challenge me... I'll press the gas and lose the boards 🤪🤣

Its steady as a rock. I've been upto 135km/hr with it and no sway or nothing. I did add the piece that you tighten on the reciever so there is no play. No issues what so ever.

Ok thanks.
I'll have to test it out as 135kmph is not that fast for our roads here, was more curious around 200 how it does 🤪 and how about would it fall off in 3.6s 0-100? 🤣 But i guess i can try being sensible 🤷

What brand do you have which you recommend?
