Hey all. Just got back from a week vacation to find my truck stolen from my parking lot. If anyone in MD sees a blue DDHC with Marine Corps plates, please let me know.

Hey man, hoping for the best, but realistically, I don't hold out hope for a serviceable recovered vehicle.
One thing you can tell us is when and if they do find it, try to determine how they got the vehicle. Towed or key cloning from the OBD port, we all need to know how this is happening.

Yep I’ll make sure to provide updates as I get them. And honestly I’m hoping it either gets totaled or is unrecoverable at this point. The thieves put at least a few hundred miles on it going off of my Uconnect app, so who knows what shape it’s in. That plus a stolen title.

Its very unfortunate we can't enjoy our cars without the fear of this happening.

Op I'm very sorry to hear this. This has been happening a lot lately and it's getting way out of hand its just so unreal. I can only imagine the pain someone is going through when there precious Hellcat is tooken away from them.

To be honest with all this happening, not only is it worth investing in a tracking device and having a kill switch on the car but having a cheap second vehicle as a daily may be something to look into now for us all.

Seems like today you really have to stay with your Hellcat and not run errands or make grocerie trips with it etc, as that second car can be used to do all those things. I would only just take the Hellcat out to cruise around and or to the track and not leave it out of your sight and stay inside it.

Also keeping the Hellcats in a garage would be best. I can understand for some who don't have one and have no choice to leave it in a parking lot and can install security cameras or have it in a storage unit.

These are just some theft preventive remedies I can think of but for your sake I hope you can recover the car and have the idiot who did this in jail.

+1
I also immobilize my clutch pedal even if I'm ducking into a place for a only minute or two, and I lock my OBD port. There's only so much you can do, but do all that you can to slow down thieves and make your cat less attractive for an opportunistic theft.

To the OP, so sorry to read about your Durango this morning. Hoping for the best outcome for you.

No good update as of yet. Local PD has a BOLO out and is searching for it throughout the day. The thieves drove it over 150 miles and even put gas in the tank to get where they needed to go. How thoughtful of them.

I'm still speechless.
