Whats up guys, I have a general question. What tires are you guys running on the Durango Hellcats?
The vehicle came from factory with Pirelli P Zeros which is a great tire, but I need to replace them as they are worn out after 17k miles. I don't wanna spend $600 a tire right now. So any suggestions on a cheaper tire to run ? Keyword cheaper, not cheap lol

Neither does the Durango. These are aftermarket. Durango and Trackhawk wheels and tires are the exact same size, just aestheticly different.
So stock size is 295/45/20, right?

yes and the contis come in that size...btw the oem tire size is unusual in that there are very few options..once you go up to 21 inch there are more..you can thank Mercedes/Audi/BMW for that...One of my peeves with FCA is they didn't put more meat on the wheels for the HC Durango..

Yeah it sucks. The "stickiest" tire I can find in OEM size is the PZero Summer tire. But rides like doo doo. Michelin is releasing the Pilot Sport 4 All Season soon. Still an all season but that model of tire usually yields very good results with traction.

I'm over 800whp so don't want a bigger wheel. Sticking with 20s (have Velgen VF5 now) and if I have to will put a drag radial on my OEM wheels. Just not a fan of drag radials because they aren't load rated for the TH.

My 21" wheels and tires are a good bit lighter than the o.e.'s. And the tires are certainly better.
What are the details of your build? Do you have timeslips?

From a drag racing perspective, more sidewall is better to minimize wheel hop. Not really concerned with weight, though my VF5s are a tad lighter than OEM. (Also have the Demon rotors to reduce quite a bit of unsprung weight as well).

No time slips yet....hopefully coming this fall. Been moving and changing tuners. E85 tune...the standard stuff...2.85 upper, IW lower, SDG Hellephant Killer blower build with a 105mm TB, FI Stage 2 chiller, and other supporting mods.

Might move down to 2.75 depending on boost levels obtained with 2.85

Less weight will net more of an advantage than sidewall height when comparing the stock size tire to what I currently run. I chose the size I run specifically for the street, though I have no doubt that the reduced rotational mass / unsprung weight combined with the softer sidewall of a non-runflat tire would help at the track also.
If I were to be serious about getting the best 60' though, I'd look into something like this for the track.

(y) I'm teetering between 17" set up like this or just drags on the OEM wheel. Plenty of folks in TH running high 9s on DRs with OEM wheels.
