I’ve looked online as well as this forum, but I’m having trouble finding much info using a water/methanol kit in conjunction with E85. Maybe for good reason…I’m just hoping someone that has knowledge and experience with this let me know whether or not it’s worth while. I do plan on tuning for the water/methanol kit, if that matters. Thank you!

I run both on my G8. I'm no builder/installer/tuner, but I'll answer what I can. Meth/water is run primarily to cool the intake charge, but it is also a supplemental fuel. It can allow for more headroom if you are pump or injector limited. That can be risky though. E85 is primarily run for octane/knock resistance to allow for more timing, but it also helps to cool also, but requires a fairly robust fuel system to utilize fully.

I’m currently running a ProFlex Commander Pro kit with FIC1200’s and the Steve White dual pump with the 295 pumps.

I run water on my 70 fury with an efi turbo 383 on 93 octane gas. I wouldn't expect to need water or to get a big benefit when on pure e85?

I’m not using pure E85. It’s at the pump. Around 80%-82% based on the ProFlex App. Would the cooling effect of the water/methanol help the engine run more efficiently?

That's pretty 'pure' since it can be as low as 50%, in IL at least.
I wouldn't expect it to cool it more. Do you know what your air intake temp is now?

At 80 degrees ambient, my IAT’s are at about 100-110 degrees.

Thats just normal driving. But the highest I’ve seen the boost is 18#’s.

I'm running e85 and meth in my truck. 426 with a 2.9 Whipple @ 22psi. 80/20 meth/water mix. Not tuned for more power necessarily it just gives a bit more of a safety cushion at the top end.

Does anyone have any info on the combination of the ProFlex Commander Pro kit with a water/methanol kit? I know that the flex fuel kit is supposed to adjust the air/fuel ratio as needed, but will it be enough? Basically just wanted to know if the two kits are able to work together.

If one is running E85, why not just mix the water with the fuel? It will surely dissolve entirely. It has the bonus of being able to lean out the mixture a bit, for less wasted fuel, and cooling the combustion process, allowing you to do exactly that (leaner mixture) without damage to the pistons, etc. Why not mix up a few small batches with progressive rates of dilution until you hit an ideal? The engines are tuned way too rich as it sits, due to time/distance/atomization limitations of the air column's interaction with the fuel injected.

This kills two birds with one stone. Leaner combustion, which is more efficient, substantially, as long as one is not hitting lean misfire, and cooling combustion that is usually too hot WHEN it is without a bunch of useless fuel to denature.

The ideal mixture, if there is one, would be easy enough to find. Is there a Water Tiger in your tank?
