I have a HC and every once in a while I get on ebay and see what prices they are getting for the HC's. I have no issue with them trying to get as much as they can, it is a free country and ebay is an auction site. HOWEVER, when they say "1 in 500" and "Limited Production" and "only 1200 made" it burns me so bad that I feel like ripping my eyes out and smashing the computer on top of a bunch of puppies!!!

My question is do you think that if enough of us "asked a question" to the seller calling them out on blatant lies it might save some unsuspecting person from being completely screwed?

there is shady people all over the world, if your not part of the forums, and don't research the hellcat, then I think it would be easy to believe there a limited run, plus if the person calling around gets the same story from dealers, and the shady dealers saying better get it now, its limited then the people wanting them will think there limited.... It pays to research things.. Knowledge is everything,, And in this case, Saves you money

I believe that everyone will eventually get one,, maybe not with the hood or sunroof, but with enough patience it will happen. Limited Edition just makes it so misleading and prays on victims.

Unfortunately he can say whatever he wants, he can't sell more than he can produce, and it looks like around 6000 to 7000 for 2015. Everyone will get one but it might be a 2016

I am so glad I found this Forum. Before finding this excellent site regarding Hellcats, I would peruse eBay and Auto Trader, and it didn't take me long to figure out the scams going on. I would ignore eBay except for amusement. Auto Trader is all dealerships trying to get premium prices.

Dealers lying to buyers, I can't believe that???? Show of hands who is surprized..............................Those statments may not be lies, depending what they say. 500 made may be true at a certain time, but it gives the idea that ONLY 500 will be made, NOT only 500 have been made so Far, but people have to read and do there homework.

Exactly, they love to twist the truth, or use selective statistics. For example, he can say "I meant ONLY 500 made...in the month that this one I'm selling was made" (but they leave off the second half the sentence, 'by accident'! I also am amused by how lots of them say the color is black, with no mention of Pitch or Phantom, leaving the bidder guessing, or they'll say 'new' yet the car has hundreds of miles on it, or it'll mention a CD player when they don't have one, or other such rookie blunders. Worse, I bet many of those cars are supposed to be for a customer, who is selling his current car under the assumption he'll get 'his' Hellcat, only to have the unscrupulous dealer sell it out from under him to earn a bigger commish!
