Back in February, I blew up my drive shaft, which also took out the differential, axles, and transmission. We've got all the hardware installed (brace, cradle lockout, etc).

After everything is installed, the car kicked back codes , indicating the exhaust valve actuators and intercooler pump aren't working. Replaced both. Codes never went away. After driving a couple days, the intercooler pump stopped working again. And now its kicking back a bunch of other codes.

Anyway, could a major breakage as described cause an ECM to take a dump? I've ordered a new ECM - going to start with the stock replacement and see what happens.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi @NotRetiredInFL
I see you now have the the "Best Peace of Mind" Part installed. The Diff Brace. Breaking the gear box can take out the Driveshaft and half shafts.

Since your Trans was taken out too what could have happened, the exhaust was tapping the DS at the end near the Trans and slowly causing a grove for breakage.

You may have it all together happen at once. I have been through these failures myself. I've seen your other thread but I am not clear if your HC Tuned in anyway or is it all oem?

Linda - it was tuned, also changed blower pully. Plus sticky Mickeys - that plust a well prepped track -plus. major wheel hop did it. I understand the tranny going (actually just the case cracked). I still don't get how the ECM took a crap. Was so many system failures too much for it? We have a new unlocked ECM on order, but I also found a locked OEM version. Found it at a CDJR dealer in Austin Tx. Hoping when it gets installed next week everything gets back to normal.

Tried one pass at the track, it wouldn't shift out of 3rd gear at full throttle. We thing it was low on tranny fluid. It ended up being down 1.5 quarts.

This has been a nightmare. Once its together and running perfectly, its going to be a garage queen for a while.

I've seen your posts and the night mare that you have been going through. :(

I saw you questioning about the PST driveshaft. I had one installed on my SRT8 6.1 Challenger build. It was superior at the time.
I know that they are being T&T's at the track and I just don't know the results yet. PST is in Florida. I will post once I do. I'm sure they want to know that what ever HP advertised is what it will be Track tested for.

I'm not sure what shop you are going to for your Build and Tuning. But you do have to ask your self what I am thinking. Why wasn't the Trans fluid checked before it was installed?
I am wondering how experienced your Tuner is and the Shop installing parts.

There are many known packages out there for making the our Hellcats go fast! An Experienced Hellcat Tuner and Builder should be used.
It is always good to ask them who they have running what HP and ET?
