My son's car. Has about 6k on the clock. He's in central TX and it's been chilly. No CEL/codes, car eases from cold start RPMs down to normal-sounding idle and dies after about 8 seconds. Did the same thing 4 times while I was on the phone with him. Full tank, but the battery tested a little weak at 12.2.

Thoughts? Tia

It does make the fuel pump seem suspect with no codes to speak of. I would confirm before replacing it however.

It was the fuel pump module. My tank was empty when I showed half a tank. So, I ran out of gas.

So the fuel pump module has a sensor in the tank that has to be removed from the pump?
