Are there any mods that don't require a tune?

So far all I have found is the incognito pulley. But I'm wondering if a set of ARH headers will free up any power with out a tune?

And ported snouts etc?

Yea… but a boy can dream… I still need to compare the Hellcat tune vs the trx. The Hellcat at least has a shorty header and the trx has a log.
If the tunes are the same, technically the trx should be able to benefit from a arh swap or even the afe shorty… maybe… kinda…sorta… I’m grasping here…

Well, you may be missing something. If the O2 sensor tunes it correctly, there really isn't any free horsepower. Since most factory engines are tuned very safe, to prevent damage, this can be changed to get more. However, that requires a tune. On a carbureted engine, it's easy, but a computer controlled one, not so. Are you willing to make changes, destroy your engine, and have your warranty denied??????????

Great question. I think if you are considering porting the snout, getting a tune should be on the list of things to do as well. If you are worried about warranty, then get a 2nd PCM and have it unlocked and use for your tunes. This way you can revert back to stock and reinstall the original locked PCM.

Yea. I had to ask. Some motors out there, especially the non “maf” controlled motors react nicely to “efficiency” related items.

for instance the direct injection v6 Chevy car motors will get you almost 10% peak and almost 15% under peak gains from a smoothed intake manifold (truck and port matched throttle body. And that’s on the stock computer.

the topic I am referencing usually results in under peak gains, and it’s really just maximizing the stock air pump system… polishing a head is a lot of work and probably the return on investment isn’t worth it with out a cam and tuning… but yea. These sort of efficiency upgrades.
I have yet to look at a Hellcat head but our log manifold screamed “there has got to be some gains to be had”.

Like a hot dog down a hallway. I cannot really tell much difference, but I have an M6 so maybe that has some impact (as in operator). I'll be violating my warranty even more with a build coming. In hindsight, knowing now, I would not have bothered had I had the opportunity to to drive stock vs. the 3.17 before.

Until a certain point (for me it’s around 7.5 seconds) the louder it is the slower it ‘feels’

Once ya break 7.50 you will be too busy trying not to crash to care how loud it is

If you are worried about warranty, 3.17 pulley will give you away.
If you are not worried about warranty, I'd go with a smaller pulley, CAI, Ported TB and snout, hi-flow catted pipe and cat back.

Are you having any issues? whats your elevation? and did you notice power increase? I was thinking of doing it also
I have had zero issues with this pulley in over a year now. Granted I don't drive it daily and have not put a lot of miles on it either. I moved a few months ago and am currently at 936 feet above sea level, prior was only 9 feet above. Honestly I cannot tell a difference in it over stock. Not saying there were not gains, but I did not dyno it before and after, so I am not sure overall. This is why I am now gathering parts for a build.
