So I tried out the new enhanced valet mode on my 2022 Redeye challenger. Set my pin, yada yada. From what I've read it limits the hp to 2.8hp. Basically when I tried to move my car in reverse it would not even back up it just idled. My wife and I have a banquet dinner tomorrow night for her company and of course valet is the only option. Is there another valet mode available? I know the regular hellcats had one where it would limit the engine to 300hp or something like that.

I think it was either/or with the valet update so you’re likely stuck with the useless mode. My valet gets stuck so I’ve been trying to avoid using it (radio software in DDHCs is hot garbage), so far I’ve had luck paying a bit extra to get parked up front/curb side when I valet. Might be worth asking them or calling ahead to see.

Ahh got ya, thats rough to be stuck with just that mode. It's not bad since it's another method of protecting the car, although I heard it can be reset with a simple battery d/c. You would think they would give you different valet options, I don't think the black key is safe enough for other drivers, 500hp is still enough to get into trouble.

If you need or feel like you wanna use the valet mode.
I’d just give them the black key instead. Like if You had it worked on.

‘My memory isn’t as good as it used to be. Lol….but I remember reading on here somewhere the black key lowers the maximum boost. Obviously, if it lowers total power from using the red key.
Can’t remember how much. Doesn’t matter. And yea, if you really want to, use the black key and valet mode.

Update on this. So messed around a little more with the valet mode. I was able to back the car out my garage, take it on the road and get up to 20mph. Granted it took a while. The pedal was all the way down. So the valet mode seems to work ok. I did however call ahead at the hotel and they were able to give me curbside parking right in front of the hotel drop off area. So worked out great. Tipped the guys extra and had a great night. Thanks for the advice all.

I’ve tipped valet guys at valet parking only restaurants and clubs. They let me park it myself and I kept my keys too. But, that doesn’t happen too often.

I also have another nice car to take my girlfriend out in.

I would worry more about someone stealing than anything else.....why risk it....
