So, im going to swap Flowmaster Super 10s, 2.5 offset/offset, and thats probably it for my exhaust treatment. I wanted to replace the entire mid-pipe, but, guess cant due to active exhaust. So, pipes are 3.0 inch So shops put a 3 to 2.5 transition pipe in ?..I see them always welded on vs, like, fit. I could replace the part from the cats back to mufflers, and one weld after. No way around this?

Go to flowmaster website. I believe the super 10's should be available in the proper size. If the muffler shop is necking your system down it's probably out of wanting to sell you what they have in stock.

Are they straight through like the stockers? If not, they're probably more restrictive.

Are you currently running the stock exhaust? If so it is more than likely 2.75”, not 3”.

Because, changing the mufflers won't make a difference? Or? I feel, from the online videos I watched they ad a bit of the base tone im looking for. Thats all im changing is the mufflers.
