I have the flow master outlaw kit on my 2016 M6 challenger. I have followed the video and my car is still throwing codes like it’s not recognizing the fake valves. How do I check my actuators and see if they are good or not? I am thinking I have a bad valve. When I unplug them they make a noise when I plug them back in but I dont see they are moving.

Off topic but man I wish these were cheaper or there was a way to select the valves through the tazer menu if you had both of these. That way you could keep the valves in track while in sport mode but could use the replacement buttons to switch them to street mode when needed. It's my biggest complaint about them is we have no manual way of controlling them except getting rid of them completely.

Have no idea what all the smog man can and cannot see when he plugs in but those ^^^ things trick the system into thinking the actuators are still there and functional. Why would it not pass smog as a result?

I haven’t had to deal with it yet but I’m sure I will next year. Next year is my seventh year on in the car so I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to smog it. As long as it tricks the computer I’m sure it will work. I’m going to try one last thing before I purchase them. I could have put the actuators on the wrong side when installing the exhaust I do see they have separate part numbers.

Exactly, the price is ridiculous and Dodge should have a manual override.

The zautomotive part does pass smog. Since the actuators don't affect emissions at all, the only thing that matters for the smog test is that there are no current P codes. Eliminate them and you're good to go.

If your 10yr/100k is a mopar plan, then no. Any stage kit install would completely void it.

One of my valves seems to be toast. I have had them open 24/7 since I bought the car anyway via the AES kit. I then installed the Z automotive electronic version of keeping them open 24/7. No more codes. Less work & cheaper than just buying one replacement valve

Just wait for exhaust to get cold with valves open and wire the valve open all he time with wire. Put them back and take wire off if you decide you want them back stock again. Works well.
