Factory supercharged badge on front fender

10066 Views 43 Replies 19 Participants Last post by  Sublimecat
On some early editions of the car I see a supercharged badge between door and the front wheel. Now the cars come with the cat logo. Anyone know how many were produced with the supercharged badge and why they changed?

Media cars only had supercharged emblem from the factory, all production cars have hellcat emblem.
Thanks Jim. Must be why the emblems are fetching so much cash at eBay.
If you can find them

the gm ones are a slightly different font but are only $60
we only ever installed the supercharged emblems on ONE customers car , the very first Hellcat vin 700001 . Then when they took it and repainted it Stryker Red they replaced the lettered badge with the cathead one. So in fact that car does not have the correct badging that it left the plant with .

Maybe that's why Hendrick bought those supercharged emblems, so he could put them back on. lol

I do love those badges. I wish they'd put them on the hood instead.

The black is stunning. I think my sublime might look good in that. Now I just need the car.

I did. Found them on eBay. They are not the OEM ones, because those are exceedingly rare and if you are lucky enough to find them, outrageously expensive. These are actually G.M. ones, but they look pretty good and as close to OEM that I could find, they are bigger than OEM's. Jim's black ones are the OEM ones (lucky dog). Mine cost $20. Better than $1,000. LOL.:D

I called a Dealership in NC a few weeks ago to inquire if they had anymore OEM Supercharged emblems since they seemed to be stocking up on Hellcat hoods. They did not have any emblems, but they pointed me to the link provided below. Said the main difference was they weren't italics, but they were close. So, I thought I would pass it along to you as another source. Not sure if these are the same ones solo7777 purchased, but the NC dealer referred me and the internet salesman was directed to find and OEM set for the owner, but link below was the best he could come up with at the time.

I think I might be the minority but best thing Dodge did was ditch the Supercharged emblem and use the HC logo.

'Supercharged' logo was way to rice burner for me. People know what the car is. If they don't they will scratch their heads in amazement as you leave them in a cloud of tire smoke!
