They have denied my claim and said they will only pay $2500 towards the bill because I am not the original owner of the car. If i was, it would be covered. My warranty ran out in January 30, 2021 while the car was in storage. Before it went into storage it had a noise, when i took it out, noise was worse..

Any thoughts on who to contact to help me get them to cover it under warranty? I am in Canada... FCA customer service will not go over the decision of the DSM of FCA.

Ive purchased 6 vehicles in 10 years from Dodge and none have had major warranty that they had to deal with.. Im asking for this one favour and Im getting kicked in the nuts..

Warranty is over so nothing can be done. How much is the actual repair bill and what's broken?

Normal bearing noise. Id be out $6000 plus taxes.. There is 0 point of me paying that when I can get a whipple for $2k more.. Its the principle..."if you were the original owner, it would be approved" Why does it matter.. I have bought multiple Dodges from new..this one I didnt because I couldnt find one

So you're talking about the blower replacement? You can get them on the interwebs used with low mileage for $2500.

Why not just drive it.

I say this because I got caught up in the whole "noisy bearing" hysteria when I thought my bearings on my 2016 Challenger were getting too loud.
I had the snout replaced under warranty and guess what, the new snout was just as noisy.
So I just drove the hell out of it and it sounded exactly the the same when I traded it in 2 years later with over 30K miles on it with no issues.

Can you post a video so we can hear what it sounds like?

To be fair, the warranty expired and they still offered some money towards the repair without a fight. I hate the dealerships but in my opinion they did right by you. (I'd never pay dealer rates if I can help it and use independent shops or repair myself). For them to warranty it completely for the original owner would be great and also more than I'd expect. I had a 03 Ram that the blend door broke. (Common problem but no recall) I was way out of warranty and dodge agreed to cover parts and I paid labor. I wasn't happy but they at least did "something".

If you are handy with a press you can do the job yourself for about $50 (not including the tools to remove the snout) or $150 (including the tools). I just went through this and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Or you can send it to Jon Bond to rebuild it better than new - Hellcat Supercharger rebuild – Jon Bond Performance LLC

Be real careful whom you send your SC to for rebuild as some of the shops have a bit of a sketchy history.

Are you 100% sure its a blower bearing? I had a serpentine tensioner go out on me and it sounded viscous, but was just a $100 tensioner...

Serpentine Belt Tensioner Failure @33k Miles - YouTube

Does it sound like this? before you go wild and buy a new blower be sure to put a long screwdriver to your ear and the tensioner to confirm. Have you taken the belt off to see if the pulley feels messed up or just going off sound alone?

Sucks about your warranty issue but they'll do and say literally anything to get out of fixing a problem lol
Surprised they're still willing to help you out at all, 9/10 times they'd laugh and tell you kick rocks with your out of coverage car.

I get it FCA sucks and you won't get people disputing you in it. I'd say some of us may be more shocked FCA is even willing to goodwill some of it. I'd consider yourself lucky they are even covering some of the costs. You're out of warranty, you don't have a leg to stand on even if you went to court. They goodwill you, take advantage of it.

I'd take the $2500 and get the Jon Bond performance upgrade for $2175.

I am going to post the counterpoint. Dodge has done me fair and right on two Hellcats now. First one had repetitive axle problems, they fixed it three times before agreeing with me that was over. On my new one, they have been more than fair and consistent with our agreed warranty, several times now and for MAJOR dollars, say ten times the amount of one of your blowers. I am on my third as the original owner all covered 100% with a smile.
