Thank you … for our best U.S. October sales month in more than a decade. Last month’s sales were 22% better than October 2013, up to 170,480 vehicles.
Nine of our cars and SUVs had their best October ever, while the Jeep brand was driven by the Jeep® Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Wrangler for its best month ever: 52% sales growth over last October.
In all, our Ram Trucks (+36%), Chrysler (+17%) and FIAT USA (+1%) brands in the U.S. saw growth last month, while Dodge was down a bit (-8%).
Looking for highlights? Ram pickups again led in volume (below), while the others had record-setting October U.S. sales.
• Ram pickups: +33% with 39,834 sold
• Jeep Cherokee: + 2,614% with 15,715 sold
• Jeep Wrangler: +16% with 13,665 sold
• Chrysler 200: +40% with 11,675 sold
• Dodge Dart: +28% with 7,202 sold
• Dodge Journey: +9% with 6,935 sold
• Jeep Patriot: +17% with 6,524 sold
• Dodge Challenger: +27% with 4,140 sold
• Ram ProMaster: +202% with 1,723 sold
• Ram Cargo Van: +11% with 942 sold
Finally, when the ordering door opened last month for the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, we received 4,000 orders for the beast.
