Looking to do just a 2.85 upper pulley simple build and run regular 93 pump gas. I have no desire to go e-85 so I won't need bigger injectors for that.

I'm looking to go with the bang for buck injectors and FIC1000’s seem to be it as they are a few hundred dollars cheaper and seem to be nearly the same size as the 1050X injectors if I'm correct. Sure I could go with the Demon injectors as they are even cheaper than both but I'd rather have enough injectors to work with for more headroom just incase.

Is there a reason the ID1050X injectors are much more pricy than the FIC1000’s? Are they much better quality or something, or are both of these injectors pretty much the same and the FIC1000’s are a better bang for buck for me to stick with?

I don't want to go cheap on this car but unless the ID1050X are much superior...than I'll just stick with the FIC1000’s. Let me know please.

Just go with the ID1050x or even with the ID 1300s. Easier to tune and HP tuners has more support for them.

I spoke with local shops about the FIC1000’s and they said they tune with those as well. I wonder if the ID1050X is worth the extra $300-$400. If the ID1050X really isn't then maybe not worth it. 🤔

What difference would it make on the car as opposed to the FIC1000’s to cost much more?

Still curious to know if anyone else can share more opinions on this topic. Both injectors seem to be just about the same size but the ID 1050X are a few hundred bucks more than the FIC1000’s. There has to be a reason why.

I duno if it's because they simply are a much better quality injector OR.... your just simply paying the extra for a brand name.....???🤷‍♂️

I have fic 1000s 10 percent off right now.
with purchase of those and an hp tuners rtd device I’m doing engine and trans tuning for 625
In my personal car I run FIC. I tune both injectors but the majority of the cars I do are running FIC. They are both a great injector. I’d recommend the 1000s over demon for sure as they give a little more overhead.
Shoot me a message and I’ll send you a quote if interested.

I had nothing but trouble with fic injectors in my redeye. Those P.O.S injectors caused me a bunch of grief trying to figure out what was wrong with my car. Long story short some redeye's have a little more fuel pressure than other redeye's and what was happening was I'd drive to the store and come out and the car wouldn't start. I finally figured it out, the injectors wouldn't hold closed under the high fuel pressure these cars make and it was flooding the engine. I could release pressure with the Schrader on fuel rail and make car start. It was fine with the stock injectors. F.i.c sent me another set and same problem. I switched to i.d and car never had a problem again. I had over 100 psi on start up. The i.d is built better period. I have a set of 1050x injectors I will make you a killer deal on. I switched to 1300.

Sounds like a tune issue. I have FIC injectors in many redeye and superstocks. Not one are having an issue.
Honestly the fact they sent you a new set shows how good their customer service is.

The provided data from ID is better for redeyes than what FIC provides. But this is the free data anyone can go download. I have done enough where I have my own data that works with the redeye platform.

Running FIC1200 in my Trackhawk and 300 on E85, no issues at all. Spend the extra money on something else.

I also found the inj data for the FIC vs ID to be more complete when adding to tune for my 300.

If I was in your shoes I’d went ID for the data. It took me time to get especially the 1440s right. For whatever reason the 1650s were easier for me to tune the first time then 1440s.
