Finally got an answer on allocation

According to the head cheese himself (TK), dealers are only getting 1 allocation a month for sold orderds for hellcat's regardless of whether it is a challenger or charger. Until the backlog from summer orders goes down that is the process they are following.

At least it is an answer (not one I like)

After my great experience with Bettenhausen Dodge, I would recommend that if you really want one right now call the dealers that have cars listed on cars.com and see if they have one coming in
I had a dealer contact me yesterday and said he could have me any Hellcat I wanted for $5,000 in 30 days(he said that was there normal wait time for a cat).I may never own 1,but if I do it will be at MSRP and not a penny more, anyone can pay whatever there comfortable with, people that have and are still paying above MSRP,I have NO problem with what you do with your money. The market is different across the country,my VON is supposed to turn to a VIN in the March allocation,I will just wait a few more days and see ?.

You should post the name of the dealer, because it it's true that they can get you one for 5K over in 30 days it means that Dodge takes care of his friends and also means that they keep lying to us, the regular John Doe.

Or could mean they are getting it from another dealer at MSRP and then charging the customer 5k over.

Wow I read all this and realize how lucky we were to get one of the last 2010s and with (I think I remember) $6000 extra off from Jeep + and extra SRT TE voucher. Hopefully we are able to keep it for a long time because after looking at and driving the new ones I just don't see the price difference. I'm also afraid I see it coming - your 2015 Hellcat order did not get filled but you can get in line again for a 2016 at $10-20K more...... no thanks.
Our 2010 was also in the last build out in January 2010. The incentives were $4000 rebate, plus we got it for invoice. So I think before tax and reg. we paid $41,500 for everything but SRT Group II.

The price difference is definitely there, I don't think the $70k price tag is warranted, but the initial price jump is. After having both versions for nearly 3 years the only aspect the 2 models are comparable in are straight line speed. The interior quality, ride, handling, snow capability, are all far superior on the new generation. Don't get me wrong, we loved the first gen and didn't want to get rid of it but the second child coming sort of forced us to. It was a sad day as we never had a problem with the 2010 and my wife loved her ride, but even at 28K miles and 4yrs old the interior was getting extremely outdated and creaky (and ours was still in mint condition). Then again, that interior design was pushing 10 years old.
Or could mean they are getting it from another dealer at MSRP and then charging the customer 5k over.
Agree. But either way it will be helpful to know.
Just chatted with Jeff @ SRT to get a true answer where I stand at my dealer. I have 3 BX orders ahead of me, and to reiterate again (and I think clarify when it starts), he said dealer's now get 1 Hellcat a month with the next allocation starting March 10.

Now I know we kind of knew that info, but the way he worded it sounds like the 1 allocation per month for a Challenger/Charger Hellcat doesn't go into effect until the March allocations. This could explain why some dealers are saying they got 2 in Feb. Regardless, if things stay consistent I am looking at June pickup and no car till end of July. At least it's not with a dealer that has.....100+ orders...............
You are lucky to be able to chat with somebody from SRT, I could not for the last 10 days. Did he say something about orders not being off the books? thank you!
I am chatting with Destan and he is not telling me anything !

Destan: Hi, my name is Destan with SRT Customer Care, How may I help you today?
Good morning I hope that you can clarify a couple of things for me.
I am in VON limbo for my Challenger Hellcat
Many rumors going around
can you tell me if my dealership will get an allocation in March even if they still have an order that it was not delivered by March? Thank you
can I also give you my VON so you can check how many people I have in front or me?
Destan: There is no way for SRT customer care to see a dealerships allocations. that information is only shared with your dealer and the dealer's Area rep.
Destan: Also you have to contact the dealer to see what your order number is. Different factors can go into order priority. Contact the dales manager or principal ownership
Can you tell me if in March each dealership will get an allocation? Another person was chatting with Jeff and was told that starting in March each dealer will get an allocation
Destan: Each dealer has a chance to get allocation, however the is no way for SRT customer care to know what dealers are getting allocation. Dealer's won't find out until March if the qualify or not.

So what Jeff told another person a few moments ago is not true
Can you check my von?
Destan: I sit right next to Jeff and Jeff told the person the exact statement I explained to you. Your VON has not transitioned into a VIN at this time. The next allocations go out sometime in March.

So you cannot check how many people I have in front of me?
Destan: You have to contact your dealer in regards to order priority.
According to the other person, Jeff told him "Each dealer now get 1 Hellcat a month with the next allocation starting March 10"
Is that correct?
Destan: Each dealer has a chance to get allocation for the month of March. If they meet the parameters and the order is a sold customer order. It is physically impossible for every dealer to get an allocation as there are over 4,000 plus dodge dealers.

I thought it was 2,300 dealers. Anyway, all that information passed to me was not correct according to you Thank you
Destan: Have a great day!

As you can see Tannehill, they tell you one thing and a completely different thing to me or others. I DO NOT BELIEVE SRT AT ALL !!

You're implying your context of the meanings too much. IMO, Destan is answering you the best he/she can.

Jeff did tell me each dealer can get 1 Hellcat. However, when you said it to Destan in that conversation you implied Jeff said EVERY dealer is getting one. That's not what Jeff meant, and Destand replied with an appropriate response. Also, all Jeff did was tell me how many BX status orders the dealer had ahead of me. He obviously looked at their dates/VON and did a quick calculation. Once you give your dealers name and code they can see orders in the system, perhaps Destan and others just aren't comfortable giving that info.
As you can see Tannehill, they tell you one thing and a completely different thing to me or others. I DO NOT BELIEVE SRT AT ALL !!
With all do respect, I think you're taking this whole thing a little too seriously (you are not the only one here). No need to grill Destan, et al. at SRT or throw them under the bus here. They are doing the best they can with what they have to work with AND feel comfortable, personally, handing out. After all, this is just a stinking car....that none of us need......and will be built for 2 more years.
the Dealership was Nashville DCJE,who the salesman was I cant say because I have talked with several at several dealerships as many of you have. The most important thing right now for Dodge to take care of there customers first and call out some of there dealers who are sitting on the car at a $20,000 mark-up and shut there ability to sell any SRT product. If I get the car that I have ordered it will be my 3rd Challenger in 3 years,if I dont, my 2nd one will be my last. There have been several accounts of large #s of cats sitting in holding areas, lets get them to the people that want them, and yes at MSRP and no more,Im 52 years old and have bought several new vehicles in my life and have never even been close to paying MSRP, so there is GOOD MONEY made selling at MSRP,
Dont throw jeff under the bus. he gets us good info. keep jeff a secret.
I do not agree with your statement. Why I am throwing him under the bus? I do not owe him one cent. It shows that somebody tells you one thing and other somebody tells me a different thing

And this is not the Nazi Germany, throwing under the bus? My money pays for his salary, they should be telling us the truth. Period.

I do not agree with you either. If you post a conversation that you had with Jeff, and then I post a conversation that I had with Destan, nothing wrong with it. It is not about taking it seriously or not, it is about people telling you or me different things.

Wow you are unbelievabley rude and arrogant. You should be ashamed of saying something like that. Completely offensive and not needed. I hope you cancel your order out of frustration, you don't deserve this car.

Sure, if you ask me that nice I will cancel :)
Take a deep breath .... without Jeff, none of would have clue as to what is going on. Think about what would happen if he suddenly disappeared from this Forum. I know it is easy for me to say this because I have mine in hand. But I was in your spot for nearly four months. The first three months were incredibly frustrating, It only got better when Jeff came on board.
I do not know Jeff or Destan, I just know my dealership. I did not receive anything from SRT or from Dodge as of today. I understand that Jeff gave you information that hopefully helped you, but not to many of us.
