Finally Got My Weld Wheels and Beadlocks In!

After waiting several months plus I finally received my custom Weld RT-S 3-piece forged S80 Wheels in, a 20x8 front and a 20x11 Beadlock rear. Had the rear 315/50R17 ET Street R tires mounted up right before I left for vacation in Florida and did not have a chance to get them on the car until yesterday. The 20x8 fronts came in while I was gone and they will get mounted up with the Mickey Thompson Pro Comps tomorrow. Here is how the rears look mounted up below as well as the front wheels out of the box. Driving with just the rears on yesterday was amazing. Have them aired to 25 lbs and they absolutely hook and book! Even on the unprepped street the increase in rear grip is tremendous. Once you get rolling you can lay into it much harder and faster and there is little to no wheel spin even with 950 rear wheel horsepower. Weld hit it out of the park with this new design IMO. The machining is excellent on every part of the wheels. They really have some clean edges and an impressive design on the centers with lots of multiple-depth machine work. This Friday I will be going to Kentucky Dragway for test and tune. I will post results here hopefully on Saturday.

Got everything on and boy am I happy with the looks! The performance is amazing even on the street. Hooks 4X better at least with 25lbs of air in the rears. View attachment 600023

What is your suspension setup?
@Bhdau1 Car looks great! I am hoping to mount those same tires my my ‘15 Challenger HC as the 17in 305 MT’s I currently have leave too much of a gap, as you can see. I’m guessing you had to beat the wheel well ribs to avoid any conract on the back side of the tire? I’m trying to avoid that.

The front suspension is factory, as are all of the shocks which are the factory in-car adjustable type. Everything else is the trick billet stuff that AAD makes which is MUCH stronger than the factory stuff and adjustable in places where the factory components are not. I eventually will swap out the upper control arms in the front to the billet AAD stuff as well, but it is low on my priority list at the moment. I am sending it to High Horse here in a couple weeks for a Southern Hot Rod War Viking transmission upgrade, GEforce Outlaw axles, BMI rear cradle lock-out, Pro Torque Pro Drive Billet Stator Torque Converter, ATI Hemi SFI Flexplate, and a Fore Innovations L4 Triple Pump Complete Return Fuel System to all be installed for sure. I MIGHT have a Whipple 3.0 installed at that time as well, I haven't decided on that yet.

OldMoparGuy,
I didnt have to beat anything in or cut any plastic, etc. They went right on and there is no rub anywhere, not even a little. With that said, my car is a Widebody so the wheel wells are different than standard body. More importantly, I had Weld make my front and rear wheels custom for me, they are not the standard cookie-cutter size they pre-make that most people buy. I told them the exact tires I would be using and the dimensions I wanted and they figured the backspacing, etc. to make them fit perfect. The rears are 17x11's and fronts are 20x8's and they are perfectly made to fit the car with a nice flush fit with no rubbing. I did not even have to use the shorter end-links on my sway bar, the factory end links fit perfectly. I ended up swapping them only because the shorter ones were billet alloy and stronger than the factory.
