Finally had time to get my 21 Hellcat Charger Widebody to the track

Dynoed the car earlier that day and put down 642 rwhp. Couldn't get a torque reading as the shop I went to works on Mustangs and was having issues getting it to read torque.
It was the only shop with a dyno that would let me use it to get some baseline pulls. All others only use them for inhouse tuning.

Car is stock power wise but has everything AAD makes for the rear suspension, both P4D diff braces and BMR cradle lockout.

Went home and threw the rear drag setup on, grabbed my helmet and headed out.

Performance settings were Trans Sport Suspension Street Off on the two passes when I remembered to turn it off.

First pass was 60' 1.78 11.48 @ 121MPH forgot to turn the traction control off

Second pass was 60' 1.68 11.24 @ 122.7MPH

Third and final pass was 60' 1.68 11.19 @ 123.1MPH

Last two passes I decided to just flash the converter

I know the car has more in it and I need to lose some weight, I almost died last August from covid and being in a medically induced coma for 11 days, so I decided to eat whatever I wanted for a while. Started my clean eating today.

I had been having a hard time trying to get the ET Street Rs to balance out, I even tried to bubble balance them and it still had a bad vibration at anything over 70. I figured they might need a nice long drive and a few burnouts to help round them out, but it never went away, and I didn't log the runs so I don't know if the vibration through the car was affecting the knock sensors or not. Spoke to Drag Racing Wheels and they referred me to M/T since it had been more than 90 days since I purchased the tires. Called M/T and they immediately approved the warranty since they are having problems with the ET Street R in the 305 45 17 size. Just have to break the bead locks down and ship the tires back. and wait on the replacement pair.

Weather was decent but humidity was 77%

There's a Funday Sunday coming up on 12/18 and I'll be there if I can get my replacement tires here and mounted by then.

1st glad you are getting healthier after Covid!

Very Good that you strengthened everything for the track.
Hopefully you will get your MTs back for the next race.
I think you need seat time and will be in the 10's once you get use to everything!

I have friends that race OSW. They are a good group of guys. If you see a Red Charger with black stripes go make yourself some new track friends. They have plenty of experience and knowledge!

Congrats on getting to the track and Keep on Enjoying All the Fassst Fun!

Linda :)

Thank you Linda.

It felt great getting back out there, haven't been racing since 2019.

I think I need a private track rental with a limited number of cars so I can concentrate on my launches. Once I get a solid 10 second timeslip I'll start adding more power.

I miss my Scat Pack but I'm really enjoying the Hellcat.

Listen when I was first at the track with Hellcat I had to go through all of the stuff turn off traction control get the race pages up then I went for T&T and R&D of parts and Tuning with my husband @Top Cat (rip) and [email protected] . Every week it was something new and to remember to do all of that! Then adding a Kenne Bell Bap to flip on after the burnout.
Track people weren't use to Hellcats back then and I had to ignore them. So remember you pay the same amount as everyone else so take the time you need. Eventually it will be much easier.

First of all, I'm glad you're doing better now.

I'm not sure how they couldn't get a torque reading. Horsepower is calculated based on torque and rpm so it had to be reading torque to get a horsepower value. Maybe they just couldn't get it to display the torque values.

Your quarter-mile times will get better with each pass. Good luck and have fun!
Mounted up and had my replacement ET Street Rs balanced. Much smoother now. Just a slight hint of a vibration above 80mph. I think it will dissipate with a burnout or two.

Heading to OSW tomorrow morning for Funday Sunday, hopefully I’ll get a solid 10 second slip.
Well today was a bust. I was teched in and in the staging lanes by 9:30 and they were going to start running at 10:00. By 1:00pm I did not even get one pass in, they were running other lanes back to back and multiple breakdowns. They were also running an NMCA event in the middle of it all. It was a real clusterfvck. Way to greedy and way too many cars. I may start running at Bradenton, it's not much further away and never had a day like today when running there.

That totally sucks. I get mad when I only get two or three runs in when I'm at the track from opening until close. No runs would make me request a refund.

Florida is supposed to be "cold" by next weekend. Maybe some negative DA heading your way! ;)

Yeah I was pretty pissed. It was a total sh!t show. I figured it was best if I just left, the $25.00 wasn't worth it having to deal with one of those mental midgets.

They're also having a problem with the 305/45x18. I've been waiting for a replacement from Summit since August.............

I had those on my Scatpack a few years ago and they balanced out no problem, didn't even know there was a different tire back there. This replacement set was wobbly side to side on the balancer and now the vibration is above 80 now instead of 70 previously. Hopefully this set will smooth out after I do a 'heat cycle" later today and will round them out. The vibration isn't as severe as the last set. One wheel took 8.25oz and one took 5.25oz. If these don't smooth out, I'm getting a refund, selling the wheels and will sit it out until they get their sh!t together. I was going to try bead balancing them but there's a ton of mixed reviews, some say they work perfect, and others say it's a waste of time while others say they're only for tall skinny tires. I'm at a loss at this point.

I'd much rather pay $150 for a private rental with a small group of people who know what they're doing than $25 - $50 for a test n tune with a bunch of window licking dinguses. The extra money is the cost to preserve my mental health.

I'll have to see when they are doing another track rental. I took a chance yesterday since it was the best weather we've had all year. They also finished a big event the day before and raked in a huge amount of cash, they were greedy and just jammed us all in like sardines.

I completely agree with you. I went to two MSHS track rentals this year and ran as many times as I wanted. I think I ended up with about 10-12 runs at each one. I would make back-to-back passes then let the car cool down for 20-30 minutes.

Back when I was racing my 1989 Mustang GT, I went to track rental and did 20+ runs down the track in one day. You would have thought I was trying to kill the car, lol. It ran mid 10's all day long with naturally aspirated 363.

Unfortunately the track is closed until January. I'll see if I can get e few of cheapskate friends to come off their wallets and do a private rental. If not, I might rent it out just by myself. 🤷‍♂️

If its for BMP, let me know thats my home track. I have a few friends that would do it too.
