Finally "Yes it's a Hellcat!"

Hello to everyone! My name is Joe and I am Hellcat-a-holic. Started this journey back in 2014 when I purchased my first R/T Challenger...just had to have a hemi. I fell in love with the Challenger...worked hard and in 2016 I traded the R/T in for a Scat Pack! Wow what a difference! The entire time the most frequent question I would have to answer "Is that a Hellcat?" If I had a nickel for every time I was asked that question I could have bought a Demon ;-) Finally in January I found a way to purchase a 2016 SRT Hellcat Granite beauty with 6 speed, all leather and moon roof! Everything I have ever dreamed of since I first rolled off the lot in the R/T! Paid way too much for a car almost 3 years old with only 6800 miles on it but having the car of your dreams makes the $1,300 a month payment not feel so bad! Lol anyway happy to be a part of this group!

It sure is a crazy journey these lives of ours. Riding through them in a Hellcat makes 'em just a little bit crazier, but you'll smile a lot more. Super happy for you and your new beast.

Welcome and congratulations.
You can see by my signature that I followed a very similar path.
One side effect of Hellcat ownership, the perma smile.
Enjoy with cautious enthusiasm.
Oh, and post some pictures!

Congrats! I used to get asked that every single time I took my SRT392 out for a ride. Definitely look in to getting a Barton shifter and deleting the clutch delay valve. They dramatically improve the 6 speed experience.

Went through the exact same thing with my 2015 SRT. “Is that a Hellcat?” every time i wasnt rolling it seemed. Only took one year of that before i made a decision.
Finally figured “i’ll fix them, im buying one, screw it” and ordered and got one.

No one ever really asks now.
I want my money back dammit.

Congrats!

I was getting tired of "nice Super Bee" or the "is it a HC" with my Scat Pack, too. :p

Having to replace the clutch entirely apparently the previous owner either did not know how to drive a standard or spent a lot of time at the strip? The Barton shifter is on my list of upgrades for sure, had one in my Scat definitely makes a big difference!

It could have been that clutch delay valve messing them up. There were certainly times I over revved leaving from a stop because that thing would make the catch point so mushy and unpredictable.
