Hey guys. Hope everyone is doing well. I have been doing some reading on the forum, but wanted to make a quick post. I have a new to me 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat M6. I am beginning some of my first mods. I currently have a Barton shifter waiting to go in the car and I plan to do a CDV delete as well. I am not planning to do any power upgrades at the moment just because this is my first car with this kind of power so I am focusing on learning how it behaves and how to drive it lol. I was interested in some “quality of life” mods I guess you could say. I am wanting to do wheels and tires for the rear to hopefully hook a little better. I do not plan on taking the car to the track at this time. I just drive it on the street. I was curious about driveshaft, diff brace, etc. Are these necessary mods for a street driven car with a good tire? I have also thought about the JLT cold air intake. I’m new to the car so I’m trying to learn as much as I can. Are there any other mods anyone would recommend? I’d also like to do the work on the car myself if possible because I love to learn and wrench on my own stuff. I know there are plenty of older posts here and I’ve been reading through but I thought I would make a post and keep some updated opinions. Thanks for any help. I’m loving this car!

Welcome aboard. Tbh these cars come pretty well set up out of the box aside from tires. If youre not going to the strip I'd say you're safe for now. You the driver are the best mod right now. Learn the car.

The DIRS diff brace from per4mance is worth it--especially if you increase the traction.
Definitely better tires than the factory Pirellis--wider in the rear if you can.
Not sure a CAI is going to help the HC much--it already pulls in air from outside of the front grill through the light--not gonna get much colder than that without an interchiller kit.

Thanks for the reply. The car currently has Kumho tires on it. I can’t remember the exact tire but I believe it is an all season tire. I have been looking into replica wheels and getting better tires for the rear. Thanks for the advice!

don't get a driveshaft if you are not going to the track and are just using it as a daily. the m6 driveshaft is different and vibrates a lot more than a8. Apart from visual mods ( seatbelt planet, headlight inlets, etc ) the other safety mods I suggest, are Catch can, oil breather, thermostat, an pinning the crank.. but if your down there then might as well change the pulley. but thats my 2cents

Awesome! Thanks for the reply! I have some some reading on pinning the crank. I feel like that’s something I would definitely do once I get to the point of doing pulleys. Do you think it’s necessary to do before doing pulleys. I’d like to do pulleys in the future but I’m just wanting to learn the car now before I start power mods. Thanks again.

I wouldnt worry about it, It is a safety precaution and dodge in all honestly should have done it from the factory, but you should be good.
