New member here from SE Georgia! Currently awaiting delivery of the 22 challenger HC that I ordered... So what are some of the first mods that I should get done asap? What type of things have you all done initially to your HC? I'm also considering ceramic coating? Thoughts?

I’d look into rock guards. ZL1 Add Ons makes the, and I’ve had them on my car since I [Ickes it up. Son and DIL have them on a standard body Scat Pack as well, and theyve done great on both. Easy to install and really save the sides of your car from rock chips. There are other brands too, but that was one of my very first car protection mods. PPF and ceramic coat are a couple of others that I think are worth the investment if you plan to keep the car long-term.

Definitely double yes yes on the splash guards!!! I have NB and am happy with the Mopar splash guards. I also put some PPF on the rear of the wheel openings before installing the splash guards.

Then a catch can, radar detector, and I install safety walk on the threshold (but it seems like I’m the only one who does that). A pull down strap in the trunk is also nice. If it's a NB, then wider wheels and 305's on back.

I'd leave it mechanically stock for the first year or 5,000-10,000 miles. If the car has any factory gremlins, they will usually pop up by then. If you want to tune it and coax some more power out of it, it's best to do it after any factory issues are sorted out before you're on the hook for paying for it.

ZL1 Add Ons Rock Guards (immediately unless you want paint damage), a set of Michelin PS4 Summer Tires or Continental Extreme Contact Sport Tires as the factory tires are garbage, DIRS Diff Brace, Catch Can of some sort (I like any of the UPR Products models), and make an appointment to get the windows tinted. Another must-have I would argue are the Per4mance Development billet Trailing Arms. The whole anti-wheel hop system is best but you can do the other two pieces later on. The trailing arms give you the most bang for the buck and can be installed easily. Also I would say go ahead and pick out a custom wheel you like and get them ordered. If they are high quality forged or a multi-piece forged wheel from a reputable company they will take months to get from the time you order them.

Look at Aesthetic modifications, puddle lights, PPF/Ceramic/Both, Tires, splash guards. Tires are a must, you'll figure that out pretty quickly. Absolutely Ceramic the hell out of it (seats too) then PPF if you want that extra layer of protection. Splash guards will help with rock chips. Wait until they finally get Direct Connection rolled out for modifications and how they will affect the warranty. From the sound of it Power Brokers can install the parts and Tune but if you actually exploit them to their potential then the warranty will be voided anyways.

This is one manufacturer's Puddle Lights, there are other styles available.
