I won one ticket, not for speeding, but 5-0 got me for pulling up too far on a stop sign, don't want to bore you with all the details, but I did what is called trial by written declaration, which if your not familiar, is you basically pay the fine first, not admit guilt and fill out a written declaration form with all the details, and send pictures etc. to support your case. The judge will look at it and give the officer a chance to respond, if he doesn't, or the judge rules for you, you win. Refund. The thing is that the officer will get OT if you GO into court to fight the ticket, so it is worth it for him, but by written declaration, he doesn't get anything. Now, they did not tell me whether or not he responded, but they just said that it was dismissed and issued a refund, nothing went on record. Plus, I had my cop friend help me word the declaration, so that might have helped. So that worked out for me.
