Pulled over twice. First after leaving casino, by the casino police department. Let me go with a warning. Second time was by a small town cop on a major highway. I was only going 5 mph over the speed limit. i.e. 70 in a 65. No ticket but he was checking out the car.
If the cops are equipped with the laser one (and I work for MCPD and all of them have the laser) you can have the most expensive radar detector, and IT WILL NOT WORK. So if they are laser equipped in your area, return the detector.
Laser detectors work, the issue is the time your laser detector picked it up, they also got your speed. Laser jammers are legal in most states (Radar jammers are illegal under federal law, dont get them mixed up). Laser jammers will give the officer holding the gun an error, in which they will pull you over just for that, but at-least they don't have your speed, right?
Laser Absorbent Paint! Gimmick??? Or not?? You decide. When I was in the Air Force, we used radar absorbing paint on the SR-71Blackbird and the F-117 Nighthawk.

I know, that's a good thing, it should be nationwide. From what I have read you better have your pistol in a locked box, unloaded and ammo separate from the box if you venture in to MD
Not always the best jamming systems are designed not to cause errors. Check out radarbusters, or radardetector web sites. the Antilaser jamming system (3 sensors) and Escort Passport Max2 is the setup I use and recommend. ( Not installed on Hellcat, yet...

That's a good thing as crazy as things are getting out there. Just last Friday here a few blocks from here 4 young idiot thugs tried an armed robbery on a little gun shop. The little shop was run by a guy and his wife, real nice people. They assaulted her, he stepped in to take action, a gun fight ensued, he shot 3 and one ran away. Unfortunately the owner was hit and died at the hospital. I'm a dealer myself so I am always well armed.

My police department is great, not because I work for them, but because it is. The police officers are not targeting people for that reason, But again, I can only speak for Montgomery County. If other counties or State Police are doing it, I don't know.

I have been thinking about this quite a bit lately, since it is inevitable I am going to be sitting in front of the flashing red and blue lights...Don't you think that since we all have to pay a gas guzzler tax and taxes on fuel that goes toward roads that there should be a lane just for cars over 500hp. I mean seriously, we paid for the lane and we should be given special consideration and if you are going under 90 mph, you should get pulled over and informed that you cannot drive in that lane until you can reach the maximum of 90 mph? It just seems appropriate for all we contribute.
