Jailbreak is a fine car but just the same as a RE. Don't let 10 horses fool. I don't think there is a measurable difference at all when it comes down to it. Just my opinion without really knowing anything lol.
How is the Redeye better on the street when they are virtually the same car, but the SS has more power, is tuned better, has better tires for traction, and is lighter. I had a '19 REWB and now I have a '21 SS so I can personally say the SS is better than the Redeye all around.Don't forget that if you do drive it like a RE you will burning through tires the way a baby burns through diapers. RE still better on the street. SS for racing at the track Re for between stop signs.
As a proud SS owner... Not only do you burn through the tires... Once you do you cant get replacements. Thanks NItto and dodge. Also if you go driving and its lower than 15 degrees F your tires crack and come apart. Not that I would mind you but again trade offs. Oh and if its raining or "moist" nope NT-05s are going to murder you. But so will any good drag radial.Don't forget that if you do drive it like a RE you will burning through tires the way a baby burns through diapers. RE still better on the street. SS for racing at the track Re for between stop signs.
A Redeye is mechanically different from a Hellcat. A Super Stock is mechanically different from a Redeye. A Demon is mechanically different from a Super Stock (barely). A Ghost is mechanically a Redeye with tacky badges and a silly sticker on the roof.I never realized the redeye jailbreaks were so dismissed…. At least by many on this forum.
I guess 807 is no big thing compared to the 1000hp Alpha Challenger being introduced March 20.
For that matter, i suppose the 840 Demons will be a yawn as well. I don’t get it.
BG Envy? Yeah…. No^ The man is on a tear. BG envy? Or anticipatory #7 anxiety syndrome?
btw - very cool Demon color combo!
red eye jailbreak and SS both have 807hp. Red eye also has street tuned suspension and is better for handling. Red eye also has 6 piston brakes vs the 4 piston on the SS. Red eye will brake better on the street. Also red eye has street wheels and tires. Way better for road conditions. The SS has the same suspension as the Redeye for street performance, but has the drag settings like the Demon for the strip so it is the best of both. The SS also has slightly more power, and is lighter than the Redeye. The SS is better than the Redeye all around on the street and strip, but not by much.
No lol. Tires are a huge factor. Those soft and higher sidewall 18” DR’s are in no way a better handling tire than the 20’s on the RE. RE will outhandle an SS around corners. Bigger brakes = better stopping. HP is the same. The extra 10hp over the 797 RE is measured 100rpm higher is all. Do your research…The SS is better than the Redeye all around on the street and strip, but not by much.
And you’ll jealous…^ my point exactly. A redeye = a Buick. No respect.
When i got my 17 HC with a meager 707, i thought i was King of the street.
just wait till March 20. Less than 1000hp means we’re all lessor than.
Can you imagine hearing “Oh it’s just a Demon” or Oh, “it’s just a Black Ghost”? Crazy.
Speak for yourself I in fact do have more than 1000HP^ my point exactly. A redeye = a Buick. No respect.

Lol. I just had an image of an SS taking a road coarse corner hard and the drag radials rolling over the wheel lip about to break the bead lol.No lol. Tires are a huge factor. RE is a better street handler.
SS wins at the strip.
*Until you change the tires...Lol. I just had an image of an SS taking a road coarse corner hard and the drag radials rolling over the wheel lip about to break the bead lol.
Oh yeah forgot top speed of a Red eye is 202mph vs. 168?mph for a SS.
Irrelevant. Stock vs. stock RE wins on the street.*Until you change the tires...
Also if you brought ANY challenger or charger for road courses you are doing it wrong... A miata will eat our lunch unless there are some loooonnnng straights.
True but compared to "regular" cars on the road like camry's and accords the REd Eye will eat most cars up in the corners.......*Until you change the tires...

The original conversation was how nothing will compare to the Black Ghost on the street and that is not true. Yes the Redeye and Black Ghost will be better than the SS in the rain and going around corners, but when it comes to straight line road performance the SS will win. Stock vs stock the all season tires on the RE and BG will do better in the rain and around corners over the SS, but when it comes to hitting the gas the tires on the RE and BG will spin and lose the race while the drag radials on the SS will hook and win. The only thing that makes the RE and BG better than the SS in the rain and going around corners is the all season tires. Put those same wheels and tires on the SS and see how much better the SS would do in the rain and going around corners. So put drag radials on the RE and BG than they are no longer better than the SS in the rain and going around corners. So stock vs stock the RE and BG are only better at going around corners and driving in the rain while the SS is better at straight line performance. To compare apples to apples put drag radials on the RE and BG and they lose the only thing they were better at. The RE, BG and SS all have the same suspension, but the SS has the Demon drag setup making it better at straight line performance. And that is why the SS is better all around because it has the same stiff street suspension as the RE and BG, but has the Demon mode for weight transfer. Lets be honest no one is racing around corners on the street so when someone is talking about the king of the road they are talking about straight line road performance.red eye jailbreak and SS both have 807hp. SS wins at the strip due to drag suspension, smaller brakes to clear the smaller wheels and drag radials.
What about 6 piston vs 4 piston? You don't care about stopping(thats a HUGE part of street driving)? What about top speed? SS is computer limited due to drag radials. The original conversation was how nothing will compare to the Black Ghost on the street and that is not true.
