The Dusterhoff kit comes with a PCM and transmission tune. I know nothing beyond what I read at the web site, but I can't believe it would require one to real time monitor the ethanol content of the fuel. That can vary quite a bit. E85 ethanol content can range from 51% to 83%. Mainly I think the ethanol content is varied to allow for ambient weather conditions, temperature specifically. While E85 (83%) is fine in the heat of the summer come winter E85 (51%) would be loads better...Going with Dusterhoff Flex fuel.
Anyone one running a Gauge with sensor inline for realtime monitoring??
If so, which gauge and where are you tapping it in?
I know there's nothing wrong with it, just like to see where it's at, that's all. Nosy I guess. It's your car but there's nothing wrong with the inferred Flex Fuel tuning. I just finished a FF tune a couple weeks ago and it's pretty accurate on reading the alcohol content.
Started tuning with E30, went to E50 and E80.
This tune will blow the tires offon the downshift after smashing the gas at 80 on the interstate.
But if you wanna add an alcohol sensor, the fuel line adapter goes on the passenger side.

O, ok. guess it's something I'll adapt to then. Just used to the 300 I guess.U dont need a seperate guage. When u dial in ur E85 tune the factory A/F ratio gauge can be used to estimate the ethanol %.
When idle and cruising speed AFR's are in the 9's ur E85 is 80% or better. As that number rises the ethanol content lowers. Meaning if the AFR nimber is now 10 ur at 70% or so and as it goes up to say 11 the E85 content is now 60% or lower.
Its pretty accurate.
