Quick question for those of you that have converted to corn. I understand the a cat delete is a must when running E85. I'm in AZ where they just read the OBD2 and they send you on your merry way if you pass. With the tune and tuners shutting off the rear O2 sensors, how does one pass emissions? Any help is appreciated. I don't what to spend 5k in mods tonfind out I'll fail emissions when the time comes. I won't be able to "flash it back to stock" for the emissions test since I'll be on ID 13000s, fuel system and I'm sure my rear O2 sensors will throw a code. Thanks!

I will be running into the same issue in NY once I go this route. They do the same obd2 test to make sure the 02’s are on and ready.

What i plan on doing is just using those fake “mini cat” things that people have been using with the cat deletes and no tune. Everyone seems to have luck with them so I will just have my tuner include a copy of the same tune with the only difference being the rear 02’a turned on for emission purposes, then just switch them back off after inspection

I just threw a code with the $15 dollar a peice ones. I guess the $40 ones are the ones to get.
Anyone know if these work for California emissions?

LOL! Thanks! I know I’m F’d with my guns, but damn, not my Cat too! I’ll have to figure a way around it, ha ha. I HATE California but need to be here for now.

I race Cat delete because of using race fuel.
When I am regularly daily driving my cats are put back on.
Why do you have to worry about your 02 sensors using E85?

I guess I can put them back on for a short period of time for the test. The tune turns the rears off. Some obd2 tests can sense they are not working and fail you.

I'll also be testing in a state that is obd2. I believe the rears have to be on and ready.

If you have Diablo handheld or a code clearer, in theory you could load back your catted tune right before you pull into the test site, and be prepared to clear the code if it appears.

It usually won't come on for a few miles. I believe certain parameters need to be triggered within the PCM for it to trip.

I’ll just throw my cats back on. Takes an hour. Throw a tune with them on and call it a day. I’m so glad I got tuned and pullied. 900 to the wheels is fun as shit!
@jwalker793 I am looking into doing e85 with some kooks green catted headers you guys think I could pass the AZ obd2 emissions with that setup and a good tune? Or would I have to swap back on the stock stuff for the emissions test?

There is no more turning the rear 02 sensors off. That died with the MVP I2 and the version 4 software. It doesn’t matter, from the way it looks soon ‘the system’ will have a pretty good idea of what the stock tune is for all the different cars and if yours does not match up it will flag you.

Not true. Yu should have to take a free 30 minute emissions course through hp tuners and the tables open up.

I would just leave your stock cats. No reason you can't run them with e85.

Cats are fine to leave on the car unless you just like loud and stinky. Mine runs E85 most of the time through the stock exhaust including cats and runs 9.70s at over 140MPH in the 1/4.
