I ALWAYS do the plate stuff myself. I have seen so many dealers damage cars minute one when ham fisting on the plates. ESPECIALLY when they have to drill them in new. God help you if they holes are not already there. Even with the dimples, I've seen them put plates on sideways or completely miss the dimples and drill off center making the plate look ridiculous. This shouldnt be the case, but we as car guys forget that 99.99% of the monkeys that work at the dealers all the way up to their senior managers are NOT CAR PEOPLE.
