Well my Hellcat Challenger has finally arrived and the dealer is getting it ready for delivery Monday. Today I get a call asking if I want them to drill into the bumper to install the front plate? WTF. I was shocked to learn there is no mount for the front plate. I told them no for now but how are others handling this in States requiring two plates? Thanks for your ideas.

errrr...the mount drills into the front bumper too. So your choices are: Drill into the front bumper and mount the plate flush, or drill into the front bumper and mount the holder, and attach the plate to the holder

I just keep the front plate in the trunk in case asked about it and ditch the mounting bracket. If questioned I tell them the car didn't come with it and I'm working with the dealership to get it. My state doesn't assess points for no plate so it's more like a warning. I've had my car register since 08 and have never had an issue. I like to keep the front as clean as possible.

I'm going to take my chance with no plate. If it becomes an constant issue, I'm going to mount the tag like goingsolo2 did it.

I say F the front plate. The cops can carry a credit card machine and I will pay like I am at the drive through. I'm not drilling the front bumper. My wife's SRT 8 Grand Cherokee is the same way

State of MD is dragging their ass getting them to my dealer too.

Did GoingSolo2 make the black, bent brackets or buy them somewhere? Only thing I would desire in that type of mount is a thumb screw quick release. Seems the way it is mounted underneath isn't open for constant removal and reinstall.

You can remove it anytime. I do not have it on now, I took the pictures and took them out, that is why I like them. Welding is like plumbing, expensive. The guy charged me 40 bucks but not drilling the bumper is a big thing for me. I am sure that somebody can make it for 20 or something like that, but I do not have the tools, the time or the skills. haha
