Hello!

Yes I know that this is common issue, and its cause by 2 piece rotors. I read a lot of posts about it, but most of them was that rotors click when turning etc
My starts clicking (left one) only when braking.
And if I would break lightly - it will not click. Only medium to heavy braking.

So what I did is I cleaned rotor and wheel connection, caliper, even take out brake pads and brushed them from old dust etc .. still clicking
I torqued lug nuts to proper 150 Nm, still clicking

And than I do what I should not do - tightened by hand all rotor screws. Same clicking

I'm really tired of taking wheel of again, and I'm thinking of buying new set on front wheels.
Or maybe I should do it again, but proper way and retighten rotor bolts to proper specs? (Brembo Floating Rotor Replacement, Zeckhausen Racing)
Is there any chance it could be fixed? Or better to buy new set of rotors?

Here is a video of my clicks under braking :

Have not had that problem with my 2018 Hellcat. I have read posts of owners who report a clicking. IIRC one "fix" that stands out is shim or shims are fitted between I think the rotor and the hub to which it bolts to.

But don't quote me.

Before I bought new wheels I'd arrange to have the car in for this noise. Be sure you can produce it on a ride along.

I only heard wind noise. Cadillac V's had this......... 10 years ago, and they never really solved it (mine didn't). I'd love to have a car of mine do this so I could figure it out for good!

I have the clicking in my Redeye from the front right wheel when makes a sharp turn. I had my mechanic torque it to spec and a couple were off spec. Stopped for a bit then came back.. I just ignore it now because it really doesn’t affect anything other than make a noise for a couple seconds on a sharp turn. I could see with your issue with it being with the brake that might be a little more frequently bothersome.

Some cars have the front end/steering geometry that has the inside front wheel canted over at quite an angle in a full lock turn. Under some situations this can have the inside front tire skip/scrub as it tries to follow a sharper radius than the actual turn calls for.

With some cars I have felt this -- a mild shudder -- or even heard it. For a car with loose pads or a rotor that floats -- so to speak -- this can cause some clicking noise.

Here's a pic of one car that shows just how much of the tire of the inside front wheel can be off the pavement in a sharp -- full lock -- turn.

Yes but my only clicks under braking :(

I redone all rotor screws to spec 7 Nm with loctile. Screwed in star pattern. Clicking is still present :( I guess its time to order new rotors

Well, it is up to you, but I'm having a hard time understanding how new rotors will help. Under braking the rotors are being gripped by the pads. I just can't imagine how the rotors would click under these conditions. And how new rotors would not click assuming the current rotors are not in some way defective or the new rotors have been redesigned in some fashion to eliminate this clicking.

Can't recall but have you had the car in for this? Would be interesting to know what a tech's take on clicking under braking is.
