Just purchased new F8 Redeye with laguna leather.
It only has 1100 miles and side of drivers seat is already showing wear.
Are any of you experiencing this problem?

I mean to be fair I go about 250 lbs but I take care getting in and out.
This is my 3rd Hellcat and 1st redeye and have never experienced this before.

The leather is paper thin and quite frankly I expect more from a $90k cat.

Otherwise I love the car and the horsepower boost and the chiller is a great feature.

Thanks
Patrick

Same experience for me. Had laguna leather on my 2020 Redeye that wasn’t 1 mm thick it seemed. Looked/felt very worn and fragile immediately. Just way too thin I thought. Same order on my 2021 SS and the leather is much more thick and sturdy. I expected more than the Redeye provided too. Maybe it’s just a weak bad cut of leather used sometimes?

Only issue with my Laguna is dye bleed from clothes wearing into the leather (blue jeans are my typical pants), almost impossible to get out. Otherwise no wearing issues and I have a 15', maybe a little stretching from the years and the leather isn't as tight as it used to be, and I can see a lot of white in the holes which I don't like.

Hmm I noticed that on my door panels so I stopped wearing light colored jackets, but haven't had any problems on the seats, is weird how quality can vary from year to year like that.

To the OP I can post a pic of my driver's seat with 125k on it so you can compare to yours if you like.

You should also post a pic so we can better understand what your talking about.

I have seen many posts about the leather wearing fast. I agree it's soft & comfortable but seems to be at a price. I searched many threads when building my car & chose the Alcantara for that reason alone. It still looks new, hate to hear about the leather issues.

Mopar has been known for this (strong motor/shitty interior) since the Dodge brothers started building trucks

And it’s a car… not a couch. Maybe you should install swivel seats in yours? Then you can complain about something else. The u-connect or back up camera most likely

Frame it tub it : )

I love the interior on my RE. Doesn't feel cheap at all. The C/F and suede do help. I love the ease of it all layout-wise and I like it a lot better than the C8’s I see. Imo GM cant break the habit of gimmicky button laden gadgety interiors on their higher end cars. Don’t even get me started on Cadillac. Not sure how the actual quality is but I can’t seem to get over the Mr. Gadget factor. Ruins the whole thing for me. Just a confusing mess. They’re just trying far too hard and it shows. Cant speak to the leather quality or the door panels etc. People go gaga for them though so my opinion doesn't matter much. Maybe if I had one I’d think differently but every time I look inside one I think, “improvement over older Vettes yet still typical GM”. Hellcat interiors are perfection to me, they match the simple retro theme. Two different cars with appropriate interiors for their intended purposes.

My interior is cheap. That’s exactly why I bought the car.
Cost me $1
Nah, what they did was charge you full price for the back seat in the original order then charged you a dollar to remove that $400 back seat you already paid for and sold it again to someone else.

Perfect
I paid Dodge to not put the back seat in.
Dodge sold my uninstalled interior to the next guy. My trunk carpet too.

In their car that they purchased.

So long as you're fine with getting taken to the cleaners for $400, great. I took my back seat out and did a delete kit myself (for $35) and sold my back seat for $250 to an auto upholstery shop. They turned it into a garage couch and sold it for $1,000 :)
