With an increasing abundance of electric, and hybrid vehicles on the road these days, and FCA up and creates this beast called the Hellcat, have you experienced any dirty looks, rude behavior, or even road rage from "green" vehicle owners as a result of owning your gas guzzling Hellcat?

Hehe! Yep, I just blow past them and stop at Chevron once a week! Making those little suckers rattle the doors when I blow by is all the satisfaction I need to make me smile! Its their punishment for slowing me down on the way to work every day!:D

No, not yet. It's rampant here in California though. Thousands of Prius' flood our highways, and most have very little regard for muscle cars. Most like to cut you off while driving at high speeds, or jump in front of you and drive slower than the flow of traffic.
Hence my request for the Prius annihilator! That should be the 2016 addition.:D

Oh yes! Some uppity old biddy in the grocery store parking lot started fussing at me for ruining the earth with my gas guzzler. That's ok, though, because by the time I was finished, the emotion she felt toward me went from irritated to hatred. And I have no problem with that whatsoever. I enjoyed it, actually. :D

It's kind if like the days when Hummers were the big bad environment killers... except Hellcats are more enjoyable.

Carbon Footprints, at their basic calculation, used to be a relevant means of capturing the impact our man-made stuff exhibited (now the calculations are all dorked up with 'credits').

That stated: how, do you suppose, does the full footprint (manufacturing of raw and machined materials and usage of product) of an HC compares to that of, saaaaaay, a Tesla?

Professionally, I am into hydropower development, I know me and my friends are making the planet better for all of us. That cancels out any accusation they may throw at my Hellcat for eating resources. And like April said above I won't be bashful about standing up for myself and correcting them for engaging their tongues before knowing what they are talking about.

I think we need a metric of fun per ton of CO2. I think the hellcat would be the solid winner.

put a hellcat behind a prius going all out and follow it, guess who gets the better gas milage. The hellcat. Top gear did the test with a M5 versus a prius on their track.

It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it.

You all must have good eyes cause when I get my HC I won't know what I passed let alone what kind of stare they gave me. "Just smile and wave boys, just smile and wave".

From an environmental point of view fuel efficiency is rather irrelevant. The reason for this is because at the end of the day we'll burn off all the fossil fuels until they are all gone regardless. The only impact fuel economy may have on the end game is how long it takes.

But whether it takes a hundred years or five hundred we'll burn it all regardless.

I'm happy to do my part. :D
