I’m getting my entire front end, all 4 flares, and lower rockers covered in PPF. Any rocks should hit the PPF areas for sure.

Question for those who have PPF does the film stand up to the rock impacts and self heal well or does the PPF look like crap after awhile? I’m not concerned about the paint I’m asking if the PPF itself starts looking beat up?

Was hoping to not have to run tje rock guards for aesthetic reasons.

I would definitely use rock guards. Sure your PPF will protect, but those big tires throw ALOT of rocks & stuff up onto the flares & body, I would think it would wear out the PPF pretty quickly. The rock guards are pretty small, it's not like big mud flaps, but they help tremendously.

Yeah. Maybe I should run the flaps anyway. Didn’t want to run the side skirts though. Lol.

I was gonna ppf the front, back to the fr. fenders-hood flares rockers just like you and decided to ceramic coat the whole car instead.
Mine wont be a DD so putting more money toward the ceramic inside and out and window tint.
The guy doing mine has done a bunch of high end cars for stellantis so he is very good at his craft.
I will definitely be putting on the rock guards tho...just dont know what ones yet.

The rock guards are barely visible tbh. I had the same concern, didnt want the semi trailer look. I was worried for nothing. They're not that noticeable.

Alright so I’ll do the front and rear flaps, you guys talked me into it.

You see any benefit with those side splitters as far as rocks or is that more for looks? I’d think the rock guards up front would stop the majority of crap hitting the paint?

I initially got them because a few people said that they do actually help but tbh I love the look and would get them again just for looks lol. Makes the car look lower and also it doesnt look aftermarket to me. Almost looks like a factory part. I really like them.

For what its worth, on the standard body challenger I used the Mopar brand rock gards. REALLY saved the paint from rocks and other road debris. I would say, you would way ahead money wise to go ahead and spend the money on the guards. My first to challengers I did not do that. Almost all the little chips you can get behind the tire are gone when you use them. They look ok too.

Despite the image above, doubling up on protection is NEVER the wrong way to go!

You drive a $75k - $100k vehicle. Drop the extra $100 to keep her showroom ready!

Might as well get them they're not expensive and they help.
