I'm thinking taking a chance that a narrow body 717 M6 would get built at the end of the run?
This is because already have my HCWB charger.
If it didn't get built, no biggie.
Will there be too many people picking PCP?

I saw the '23 order color poll. It does indeed look like many are going with the classic Mopar colors of sublime and pcp. I heavily considered both colors, but ultimately chose red as that's my favorite color and I just couldn't force myself to deviate.

Here’s a question, what happens if a percentage of the allocations are still available next year because of the high dealer mark ups. Production is underway at the plant but they don’t have enough orders because they’re waiting on the dealer special orders. Maybe the suits would tell the dealers place your orders or lose them. Maybe give a few additional allocations to some other dealers that did not price gouge.

If orders start to lag, I can see Dodge yanking allocations and sending them to dealers who sold theirs or giving them to others who didn't get one.

They have plans to sell these cars.
They need to sell them for revenue. If dealers don't take them, they will find ones that will.

I do believe many dealers ordered the cars for stock and telling people to F off.

It would be a terrible situation for Dodge if 100k cars only turns out to be 30k. That is 70k cars in parts they have to flush some how.

I have an order just waiting for me to make a deposit on it.
87k range for 717hp.
Sublime Green (but i may change it to DG or B5).
Black hood
wing
black brakes
2k interior upgrade

Plan would be to make it a SS clone with Whipple SC and try and run 9 flat and daily it.

My other option was a base SS sublime green but with 10k ADM it makes the HC route the cheaper version.
And outside of potential future value, I don't see a reason to pony up for the SS.

Given what's left for allocations, what would you order today at MSRP?

All of the HC's for MSRP could be flipped for profit. The answer is all of them, get as many as you can then flip.

What car do I think is worth MSRP? JB RE, SS, RE, HC JB, HC in that order of preference and they are right at the edge, ADMs are skewing the values. SE's aren't worth their MSRP for some stickers.

Even when you count paying the full sales tax bill you think still margin to flip?

If you have anyone of those in May you should be able to sell and still make a profit without driving it. At this rate 23's will be all bought, even if they release more they will already be spoken for at all the dealerships or go on auction, again. Maybe the market will come down, so far no signs indicate any softening coming in that price range for people that $250K isn't all that much for a car. Just regular HC's have ADM's. A stock white knuckle may not demand much of a premium but a well-equipped car with logical choices will be hard to find. A Garage Queen will sell barring some unforeseen catastrophe, the SE's will also because they'll all be sold out.

If I could afford it ( I can't) I would be ordering a 1320 as a stable mate to our Super Stock and our 2014 Shaker. I think in years to come the 1320 is going to be the Duster 340 of our times. Not a 440+6 or HEMI car but still a quick cool car.

I ordered a 23 Scat Shaker M6 Widebody for the same reason got it for 1% below invoice too. I’ll drive the JB on fair weather days but daily drive the Scat, plenty of fun on the street, wanted a M6 before there gone.

Basically before 23 production starts 80% minimum of HO’s will be allocated or sold, the rest with huge ADM’s. Currently 717 HC will be the next best option as many will likely be had at MSRP but not for long as only approximately 15% sold on HP locator but will start moving fast. If you’re watching the next biggest mover its the widebody Scat.

I’m not sure you will be able to order a car with SRT power by the end of February. There will be a few cars in dealer inventory IMO but they won’t sit long unless stupid price. Yep cars will be flipped, I spoke to dealer in Rochester MI said they sold ALL 12 of their SE’s to same buyer in package deal. They also wanted 25k on Super Stock.

As the economy collapses people will back out on their orders as well. Allocations that are supposedly spoken for now will pop up next year.
There will be people like that sure, especially I can see if they planned to finance and the rates keep climbing.

But I disagree with an economic collapse and these cars not selling; the ones that aren't bought will be placed in dealer inventory and be marked up with a HUGE ADM because there will be very limited inventory at that point, orders would be closed. There are plenty of people with money that will scoop them up (the typical 100k plus car buyer is buying as a luxury item anyway). They will NOT be sitting there getting discounted below MSRP for sure.....

Not like there are 5000 of these cars waiting on lots, probably talking 100 at most would be up for grabs at the end of 2023. 100 big dogs will exist(especially for SS and REJB).

Wealthy people interested in the cars for the cars already have them on order. In an economic calamity, wealthy people aren’t going to be throwing away their money paying ADMs on cars as some kind of idiotic investment. Wealthy people didn’t get wealthy by being stupid with their money. They’re going to use their available capital to scoop up massive amounts of shares of stocks to grow their wealth.
