Ordering a jailbreak on Thursday, decided on go mango for the paint, however, I really don’t like how the standard red calipers look on go mango.

it would appear my only options are yellow, black, or orange for the caliper paint. Orange would look odd since the caliper orange is a different shade, and an added charge for black calipers is rather confusing. It would seem yellow is the way to go, but I’m not entirely sure how it would look in real life.

Any thoughts? I don’t want to be driving a clown car but I feel like if I’m ordering a jailbreak I might as well make it unique.

edit: for reference, I did find this. I don’t think is nearly as bad as you all are making it sound…but maybe I’m just tacky

I did not know caliper colors were a JB thing. I would go with either the orange or standard red calipers myself. I agree the orange is a slightly different shade, but I think it’ll still look great!

I’ve seen too many complaints with the finish on the black calipers to choose those.

Lousy finish Hellcat Black Brake Calipers?

Hey guys... so it was just cleaning up the car on this nice day.. and when I’m closely inspecting the calipers (the fronts) I noticed the finish is rather lousy and almost like a Flat Black finish.. not the nice glossy finish I had on my 392 with the red calipers. Is this expected for Black...

I wouldnt say other opinions don’t matter, I’m not sure how long I will keep it. I would rather not have a hard time reselling becuase people want to gouge their eyeballs out after looking at the color combination, albeit I’m not sure if caliper paint would be a dealbreaker for most buyers.

I like the yellow and orange, and find such combinations appropriate on a Jailbreak. They’re unique, and they’re supposed to be “you.”

I had similar reservations with the green paint and brass wheels - I ultimately decided to leave them alone and went with the regular red calipers. It really all comes down to what you like.

One more thing: I would try and find real world photos/video of this setup, or even better: find them to look at in person. The Dodge website’s configurator doesn’t really accurately depict each color (the brass wheels, for instance, look gold and gaudy, relative to their actual appearance which is much more subdued). The calipers, I’d imagine, are probably similarly affected.

I tend to agree with you in respect to resale. I 100% always take it into consideration. JB's will allow for some fugly combos and I personally don't like it because down the road we're going to see Ronald McDonald themed cars for sale that the owners are whining about not understanding why theyre having a hard time selling them. Yes it's what YOU want but at the same time you are smart to consider resale imo. People love to say this is their forever car but we all know how that actually usually works out lol.

Yellow and orange look great next to each other but your car will not be orange. It’s not gonna be red either so orange or red calipers are both out. Yellow looks great next to mango so that would be my choice

never thought about that, but you’re correct about yellow getting dirty fast…red hides brake dust a lot better than yellow would.
