had my car for around 2 years but dealer has been doing my oil changes for the past 2 years cause it was free so why not. Buying the srt white filter and penzoil 0W-40 for the 2019 hellcat. Do I need 6 or 7 quarts of oil? Also is the oil coolant pan easy to take off? I don’t want to break any clips or anything lol. Any advice thank you guys and hope everyone is doing well.

Takes a good long while 30-40min for the cooler to drain fully.
Only if you are young. If you are an old guy like me you give it 3, maybe 5 min and done. Too old to worry about the last 2 oz! :) Remember, the dealer doesn't worry about it!

You'll need a 7mm socket,10mm and the rest are push pins. Easy but a little tedious!

Personally, I don't drain the oil cooler, the oil is clean when it goes in & clean when it comes out. The oil filter will catch any dirt left. That couple oz. Is no big deal to me.
Now if the oil was filthy & black, sure, I just may drain the cooler. JMO, & I'm not trying to start a debate.

If you have a daily driver, and therefore may be doing several changes per year, removing that front splash shield to access the oil cooler becomes exceedingly annoying. You might consider creating an access panel for the oil cooler drain, per the below thread. I don’t believe that member is still selling the kits (unfortunate as they were really professionally done), but really it would be simple to make one with hardware from any auto parts store or Lowe’s/Home Depot.

I used his drawings to make mine. Turned out great.

It won’t matter to 99% but when I made mine I have the leading edge tucked in above the panel and the trailing edge below the panel, just like every other panel under the car. My objective was to not have it ripped off leaving screws and pieces on the runway when doing land speed trials.

Buy 7 quarts. You probably won't use it all, but you'll need more than 6. None of this is difficult. it just takes more time than an oil change on a regular car. A trim panel tool really makes removing the panel clips hassle free. Take your time and be easy on the oil cooler plug. Like another member said you can use one wrench to hold it while another loosens the bolt. Easy.

P.S. Keep your receipts for oil and filter. Also go into the MOPAR app and add a maintenance record for the oil change showing yourself as the service provider.

If You plan on keeping your car for a while it might be worth investing in the quick change valves by fumoto on both the cooler and oil pan. I did. Valves are spendy but you'll never need a wrench again and you eliminate the risk of breaking the oil cooler when loosening the drain bolt.

Just looked those up. Nice. Do you remember which one you got and do we need an adapter? Thanks.

My 2018 Hellcat required 7 quarts. I never changed the oil myself but I seem to recall every time it was changed at the dealer the oil level was a bit above the full mark. Was told the engine had been filled with the right amount of oil.

I never saw the Dodge dealer tech bay hardware but at other dealers the service bay oil dispensing guns had a digital readout that would read in at least liters (foreign car dealership). I would think these guns would be common so there is no excuse for any accidental overfill.

What I was taught regarding oil changes is to bring the engine up to temperature then let the engine oil drain the amount of time called for by the factory service manual. With some cars it was 20 minutes. With others it was an hour. Then with a new filter installed add the amount of oil called for by the factory. Start the engine check for leaks then if ok let idle until oil up to temperature. Shut off engine. Wait 5 minutes and check the oil level.

By knowing the oil was "fully" drained and a known amount of oil was added back into the engine then one could use this to know the dipstick read correctly. For some of my cars there was no dipstick. There was only an electronic oil level measuring system. To ensure this was working correctly the check of the oil level was necessary to confirm the system reported the right amount of oil.
