The Ghoul would be great, albeit way out of my price point.

For reference (take this with a grain of salt since it was posted on April Fool's day. And because they said reservations started 3 months ago)

Charger Blackeye 850hp with a 309 option.
lol I really hope they don't call it a blackeye....

Maybe they could do a 2door charger that looks more like the 68/70 charger body instead of the sedan we see. Not knocking the charger or charger owners by any means but to call THAT a charger is about as confusing as them bringing back the "Dart" and using a neon as their inspiration.

Don’t think Dodge would do a 2 door charger, it would kill their Challenger sales. Would be cool, though.

Dodge, just please don't pull a Ford here and launch an EV SUV and call it a Challenger or Charger. I still can't believe Ford did that with the Mustang. Oddest marketing strategy ever...

I read somewhere the intention was to make a big splash in the Euro markets. Mustang is a known name but a vehicle that doesn’t have the numbers like it does in the States.

You're gonna jinx it. I can see it now. They're gonna drop a EV bomb and we're all gonna be here just watching with popcorn as the people that witness it soak it up, causing the hellcat drivetrain value to increase even further.

My money is betting no EV in this announcement. With the new platform "coming" I just don't see them investing the money to put electric motors in the current generation (think tooling, testing, electronics). With a change like that, it's easier to start clean. I am betting that it's an increase in power for something existing. Perhaps a Super Stock Charger? That seems more in line with what they've done in recent years.

Oh and let's hope they announce some new colors: I'm sacrificing some chickens hoping that PCP comes back

Good or bad remains to be seen. They are marketing to the future, not the guys buying their last mustangs or who wont be around to buy another one in 5-10 years. The brainwashed masses think climate change is the biggest threat in the world and like it or not electrificaton of vehicles in the near term is coming so why not play off heritage. Sales speak louder than rants on boards, and most people want an SUV not a coupe, sedan or wagon. If you were going to HAVE to buy an electric SUV would you rather buy a Mach E that has mustang cues or a run of the mill bread truck that looks like everything else out there.

I'll buy a bread truck to haul around the fam. Especially if they have cupcakes and twinkies on board like my friend's dad's bread truck. Challenger is all about me time.

Another parts bin solution seems most likely as it costs next to nothing to implement.
