Super excited. Picked her up on Tuesday evening. They had a $12,000 mark up on the car. When I called the dealer that morning I asked what the price of the car was and the lady said $Xx,XXX, and she also said that I get $1224 off as a discount. So I said I’ll be there this evening. So drove down and when we were at the table lady shows me the paper with their ridiculous deals on it it had a 12,000 mark up. I basically said I wasn’t paying that, I told them I just drove 5 hours because the other dealership gal said it was this other price! So a quick back and forth, they said they were reviewing the phone calls….. came back to the table and said we’ve taken the mark up off for you since we heard the phone calls. So super stoked about this bad boy! Love it!!

I wouldn't have. This is like what the GA Ford dealer did to me with the 2021 GT500 I was interested in. They told me over the phone it was bone stock, price was $93,000-something. I drove 2 hours to the dealership, pretty sure I was going to take it home. Lo and behold, it was modified, poorly, had mechanical issues and they jacked the price up to $98,000 after claiming someone else wanted to overbid the offer they made me 3 hours beforehand. I told them I wouldn't pay a markup, and in fact, I wouldn't even pay the $93k price since the warranty was totaled and it needed $4-6k in repairs on the axles and driveshaft... on a 3,000mi car.

They stuck to their 98k and I beat feet.

IIRC, that was this past April. The GT500 stayed on their lot until early July. The last I saw, they reduced the sale price to $88k before it disappeared off their website. Whoever bought it got a '21 GT500 with a warranty exclusion that was due to drop its axles at any time. Both had leaking axle boots and there was a serious vibration in the driveshaft. Car was pullied and tuned without an injector upgrade. Its injectors were reaching max duty cycle close to 6,000rpm and the car had a giant flat spot between 6,000 and 7,000rpm.

It was a horrible car. Very sad because it was a nearly fully loaded Shelby. Every option except the CF track package. Car was white/kona blue stripes with white stenciled Shelby and GT500 inlays on the front fascia. Very attractive car, but it was a dumpster fire. I never identified which size pulley was on the car, but the car felt like it was making somewhere in the 800-850whp range on my butt dyno. Whatever it was making was enough to blow the seals on the axle boots and damage the stock driveshaft while running on the street with Michelin Sport Cup 2s.
