Who has had this done at a dealer?

Any issues?

Do they have to take much off the engine to do this TSB on the fuel rail?
I hate the thought of a dealer "tech" having to take apart any part of the engine to do this, and dislike the idea that they have to be leaning over the car to do it....I always hope they protect the paint with covers when they do.
Maybe I'm just a bit paranoid, but I've had too many negative dealer service issues in the past, so I'm always leary of any of them doing work like this on my new car.

TSB says it will take an hour to do, but I rarely trust that either, I'm sure I'll be at the dealer, half the day or more.

Let me know how it went for you guys that have had the TSB done already?

Tell them you want them to hang the tech from the ceiling by his waste. That way your fenders are protected! ;)

I dropped it last night for the recall and they were very careful with my car...service manager wouldn't let any valets drive it...only him. He also didn't hang the keys on their board...did a full walk around, told them there isn't a scratch on it and I expect it back the same way. They said no worries and that they'd have their best tech on it. They said they will have it in and out so the car doesn't have to be there for long. Purchasing a car like this also involves researching a service department that cares!

I think I will have the same talk with the service manger,, the car is prefect,,I expect it back the same way, no grease makes on the interior,, no scuff on my paint...I'm the worst people to deal with if you screw my car up...

Gonna see how well this local dealer treats me today when I take this in for this recall. I'm going to express how anal I am about this vehicle, and we will see what the reaction is, because, this ain't no ordinary dodge, boys and girls....:D

Just got recall done…all went well…had them flash the TCM as well and put in the update. Car seems to shift smoother now. All in all very happy with the dealership.

I've heard some people are unhappy with the way the car shifts after th update. Does it seem way different to you?
Nothing bad that I've felt so far. There's probably a reason there was a TSB for it so I figured I might as well have it done while it's there. They seem smoother, so maybe it keeps the heat down a bit in the transmission.

Cool. I'm going to skip it as I like the way it shifts. Just having the rail and power steering fluid replaced.

Had mine done earlier today. As usual, Josh is the only person allowed to drive or work on Dante. Marty and I parked, handed the key to Josh, and had a seat in the service lounge. Less than 5 minutes later, my salesperson, Mary, walked up and handed us the key fob and paperwork to a Charger loaner car and told us that she or Josh would call us when the car was ready. We took off, went to take care of some errands, priced a brush guard for Marty's RAM we are buying next month, got the call from Josh during lunch, then went back to the dealership. Dante was ready to go, all was perfect, and we came home. While I was signing the paperwork, I was informed that they had ordered the rad clamp and would call me when it arrived. Overall it took 3.5 hours, and as usual, I was well pleased with both my treatment, and the treatment of my car.

April

PS - Would have taken less than 3.5 hours, but I drive an hour to the dealership and the engine had to have cool down time for the work, or Josh would have some burns.
