Got tired of the allocatetion game ,
So I went proactive and bought one off the lot today !!
I will pick it up in the morning .pad a 4k over MSRP . But with having 6k down with 2 outher dealers with no vin and returnable deposits I declare this a WIN.

Congrats on your hunt, way to score a cat!
Man, you must be the youngest Hellcatter, judging from the picture you posted of you next to your new car! Congrat's, I hope when I get my Hellcat the jubilation takes years off my appearance too!
$4K over isn't bad for an in-stock car....congrats!
I had 3 deposits out, and I did the same. Grabbed one off the lot, paid 5k over sticker. No complaints from me. They wanted 15k over, I laughed to the salesman and said this is gonna be a long day. If you look, and are willing to use your brain to negotiate, then grab one from a lot. Way less stress.....

Congrats...I am waiting like alot of others here for my Hellcat...Same color as your's...I am paying Msrp, but I would have paid the $3000-$4000 more to have it now..Congrats
Congrats $4 k over isn't too bad
I Think $1k - $5k max is my limit and the HC would have to be Billet Silver with options I wanted for me to pay over MSRP! I turned down a Red & Blk because If I am going to settle on a different color I shouldn't have to pay extra for that. The Green is a Awesome color for sure. Congrats !!
Congrats! Whatever you do, if the cops pull you over for looking young, tell them your benjamin button :D
Nice Cat. I am tired of the game too but being in Michigan, I can wait a few more months. Not happy about it, but hope I can get a VIN soon. I will hold out forall the options I want, and at msrp.. I don't blame anyone who can use the car in the winter months, for buying them off the showroom floor above msrp. Just not my deal. If however, the spring comes and I am on the outside looking in, I am gone, long gone, and will never look back at Chrysler again. It has been 3 months and Chrysler has not attemped to repair the process or let their customers know that they are aware of the customers dilema. Too bad Chrysler, this could be a defining moment in the rebirth of a great American corporation. Hope you enjoyed your bailout from these same people that you are letting flop in the breeze!
Hang in there, I would also try another dealer, cant hurt trying, having your name on the list at a few dealers

Got my name with 2 right now. Sorry about my weekly rant, just that seeing all these Christmas bows on cars and getting car things for Christmas with people asking when are you getting your car, kind of Rubs salt in the wound
im thinking of hunting down a dealer car.. i WAS willing to pay over to order my car but i might as well use that money to walk in and purchase off the floor.
why wait at least several more months to get my order picked up, when i can just go buy one now.? hmmm:cool:

Maybe you are in with the Jan allocation. If you do go look, I would think the northern states might have more cars sitting as a lot of people won't use them as daily drivers. I was watching Mecum and I could have bought a 71 Cuda 340 and a 2006 C6 Vette for the price of my Hellcat
LOL, hoping ill get an allocation hasnt been working out too well for me  but i did notice i could get a fairly nice used viper and have enough left over to build a multiple car garage with workshop

this is what im going to do, im simply waiting until they are selling at msrp this way.

your order may take until summer or never be picked up......in a few months those still waiting will just buy one off the lot and F their ordered cars...this is why i wont order from Dodge again...ordered cars are last, dealer cars are first
Congratulations !
My wife just ordered sublime at MSRP and order confirmed.
I ordered 11/4 and it is D-1 so should be built any day they restart at the plant.
After all I have read here, I think finding a large forthright dealer who has allocations will sell at MSRP ....I found two in Detroit Metro, with two phone calls.

Aren't all orders, dealer orders.... We know of a dealership in Northern Michigan that had two allocations and a long term customer took those to build what they wanted. He went back for a third and said they had no more allocations. It seems as though the stories change depending on where you are and who you are dealing with....

Abe, Dont let this fluster you listening to all these stories, I bet half of them are not true or they are spending way over msrp. You Dont need it before spring anyway right??
