Went to church then out to eat with 2 of my sisters. Pulled up in the challenger and a guy pullled in behind me in an absolutely beautiful black z06. Talk to him a bit and he knew my sisters and told me to take it for a ride. So the wife and I took it on about a 5 mile ride. WHAT a car. I absolutely fell in love with it even though it was a stick. made my 392 feel like a prius. Road much better then my old c6 z and just felt planted. Ive been planning maybe next year to get a hellcat wide body but now i truely believe id take that z over a hellcat. Used low miles the cost is about the same and i just cant see one thing the hellcat does better other then a back seat. Told the wife instead of selling the srt and buying a hellcat maybe we should just keep the srt and buy the vette too. If you havent actually drove one you should do yourself a favor and try one. That thing not only is a bad ass but in black looks like one too.

They are great cars and look amazing in black with the stage three aero package. My buddy has a C7 Z and raced my Hellcat stock for stock at the drag strip with both of us on Drag Radials. He's usually faster than me by about three tenths in the 1/4 and pulls about...I'd say a car to a car and a half on me every time.

Having a mopar and a vette is a great combination. If your going for the C7 Z06 get atleast a 2017 or up as they fixed some of the cooling issues. Go for the M7 transmission as the A8 seems to leave very little to be desired as it doesn't seem that responsive unless your going WOT.

Also plan on looking at getting some good aftermarket rep wheels for this car as the oem wheels were know to bend or crack, unless the car already came with a different set of wheels when buying used and you should be good.

We have a Grand Sport which is basically a Z06 without the supercharger, bought it new with a great discount in 2019 and hopefully never sell, love the car.

The C7 was the first car that broke my heart. I wanted one so bad until I sat in one. At 6’8” the C7 just wasn’t an option. The C8 is the same way, I’m just too tall. The Challenger was fantastic for me, other than I hated climbing in and out of it because of how low it is.

The A8 can be fixed with an aftermarket torque converter and TCM programming, but that's a big investment to fix the stock A8. You highlighted the other known issues too.

So, a cock with no balls..
Its probably a better balanced platform for circuit racing honestly since the Z06 has issues getting its power down and is known to snap oversteer. The chassis just wasn't designed that well for the power of a Z06. That's why so many people love the ZL1.

id hardly call a gs a cook with no balls. they turn a 3.7 0-60 and run 12 flat quarter mile times. You must think a scat pack is a dog with its legs cut off. Truth be told if your not a 100 percent on your game a GS will scare the crap out of a hellcat in a drag race. I know one thing. This z i drove had a set and might even have had 3 balls

I agree, for the hard core road racer, it may be the way to go. Until you get passed on the straight by a Z06 with its cooling problems addressed. But for a street car, I just couldn't give up the intoxicating power of FI.

Yes, a scat is a dog with no legs. Hardly any Hellcat owner could go back to a scat and be satisfied.

or a 5700 lb Durango with a 1.5 T Chinese jack:po_O
What does FI > NA have to do with a jack failing? Was I supposed to be insulted by that? Do better.

What's wrong with him having a GS? It's still a well balanced car, even more so than the Z06 especially on a road course due to it being such a handful for its own good.
Again, as a road course car, I agree. That's part of the magic of the Porsche GT3/RS. However, for my personal use, I'd much rather have a Turbo S than a GT3.

Since superchaging my C5 back in 2003, I've always had a FI vehicle. I don't think I could go back to a NA ICE vehicle. That's why I didn't jump on the Durango SRT when it first came out. I was researching drop in rods and pistons, then supercharging it, or doing my own Hellcat/Redeye swap to one. Then the rumors of the DHC started circulating, so I waited. Glad I did.

I do agree for me, it would be hard to go back to NA engine after having a FI engine. This is the reason I kept the ZL1 instead of the C8. It's just too easy to add more power to a FI engine.

hell cats are animals now doubt but even a scat pack is quicker then any muscle care of the 60s and 70s. I guess its amazing i didnt get bored with my ls6 chevelle back then. 392 is Hardly what id call a dog with no legs unless your dog can run 170 crawling on its belly. Dont see many here calling a trx a dog with no legs and its about equal in the quarter and slower on the top

Now, try a C8 and it makes the C7 feel like your 392 :)

Under 100mph anyway ;)
