Greetings and Salutations from SE Michigan

Greetings to all. After lurking here for years it was long overdue to join as this is a great community. Currently looking at finally pulling the trigger soon on a Hellcat powered vehicle. Leaning towards ordering a lightly optioned NBRE Challenger or maybe a slightly used WBRE Challenger. I have a friend who works at Stellantis in engineering who drives Scat Pack's and another who has a F8 REWB. Very impressed with both cars. Currently own two Turbo Buicks ( one a mid 10 second car that's a Turbo, converter and E85 away from going in the 9's as well as a big block Nova SS stick car, who doesn't like an old school ride?) The appeal of having big power and all the amenities and technology is strong for me and something on this platform would be my only choice. I do have apprehension however due to the extremely high theft rate, especially around Metro Detroit. The stories are ridiculous. I also don't like seeing people driving extremely recklessly with these cars like I've seen on YouTube (190 MPH blast on the highway, C'mon. There's a place to enjoy your ride, not like that though. It does give these great cars a bad rap but it is what it is. Sorry to be so long winded.
