I'm creating this guide to assist people in taking off the Pulley Bolt. Keep in mind that a 1400 TQ Electric Impact is used The "2767 M18 FUEL"

I have watched plenty of videos on the internet that managed to get the bolt out using just a pneumatic gun, sometimes this is not the case, the shaft bolt in the back will just unloosen when you try to impact from the front pulley bolt.

In order to counter this, you need to do the following:
At your local hardware store (Mine is Home Depot):
1x Loctite® Threadlocker Red 271
1x Blaster Penetrating Catalyst Can
In my case I broke the bolt off in the back so I also had to buy that (it was available at home depot, lower quality rating) M10-1.5 x 20 mm

After purchasing the required items above you can start the pre setup procedure:

1. Remove the back bolt that keeps spinning and unloosing.
2. Apply Red Threadlocker around the whole bolt (not just the front or back)
3. Tighten the bolt back into place as hard as you can (Do not use an impact, use a breaker bar or you will break the bolt)
4. Apply Blaster to the Pulley Bolt at the top, around it underneath it (It is important to get the blaster all around the bolt/hub)
5. Wait 12 Hours

Getting into action:
6. After waiting 12 hours Use a heat gun for 5-10 minutes to heat up the pulley bolt, make sure to get all around. (You can also use a blowtorch for about a minute or two)
7. After heating up the bolt quickly grab your impact and unloosen, do not stop if you see the shaft turning, keep going and after about 30 seconds the bolt should come off.

Optional steps (Recommended to follow)
8. Loosen the bolt in the back shaft, this might be hard after applying red thread locker, the thread locker will cure in 24 hours, it should be fairly easy to take it out (if not use a heat gun to warm it and it should come right off)
9. Clean the Red thread locker from the back bolt.
10. Torque the bolt back to company specifications.

We followed steps 8-10 so that way the bolt in the back shaft does not get stuck in the future. if the snout needs maintenance work done you will be able to take that bolt off with ease.

Wasn’t looking for props, was helping a newbie out, a Thank you would have done, after his car was good never a reply since, all be it he got a pro tune which I suggested in the beginning sounded like he was tight on funds, sent him bearings to rebuild his snout and blower below cost. Yea, I saw this post and it hit a nerve is all. I took evenings away from my family to rewrite parts of tunes for him, spent half a day of work time doing the same, hooked him up with a Redeye long block cheap, so yeah it’ll bit a little seeing that post. Dead in my book.

Thanks, but not looking for pitty, Just putting it out there for others to not be a sucker for a newbie like I was. I’ll think twice about who gets my time next time, like usual, someone else will suffer for the ills of another.
Sounds like someone had a bad case of entitlement. IMVHO

Different researchers divide people into different categories of problem-solver depending on their approach. For example, one system divides us into four specific groups: 1. Clarifiers 2. Ideators 3. Developers 4. Implementors

First off, I don't agree with this method however I do have a couple of questions....

1: Why do you say to apply red loctite only to later say take it off?
2: What is "torque the bolt back to company specifications"? I'm assuming you know what that torque spec is.... Why not share it?
Bonus question: Do you realize what happens when you put loctite all over a bolt and not use as intended?

Same goes with people asking for help on forums, then never return to say it fixed the problem and thank those that helped.

Most importantly, it helps others when they do a search and see a solution and not a dead end.

I believe I hooked him up with the Demon Longblock from MMX (He ended up paying more than other venders were offering it for - My bust)

Like said above, folks help others especially newbie's with their problems and a lot of the time there is never a thanks. I have spent countless hours helping others diagnose problems and helping them modding for performance. Most of the time just PM's/emails back and forth until problem is solved. I have noticed over the past decade or so that the "thanks for the help" has faded. People come to the forums to look for answers, get it fixed and you may never hear from them again

Damn, @16GoManGoHC . You were super helpful to me as well on rebuilding my snout as well as a couple other projects. Looks in mirror and can't recall if I properly thanked you for that. Normally try to but can't recall doing it so if I forgot a big thank you again! And how did I not know you did tunes. I've been waiting for the direct connection kit but if you do them I may have to rethink that decision.

These weren’t my instructions lol, I’d take the time to detail what exactly to do only to hear some BS like this back in return that X didn’t work, I should’ve known to just wash my hands of it and walk away but I didn’t, dumb dumb me never learns.

That’s the post that started it all, I offered to help in a pm, I asked for it I guess.

Wait, What has been happening here?? I have been out of country for a bit and I just come back to seeing this post. I did thank 16GoManGoHC for all the help he provided through PM, I even bought pulley parts from him. I even wrote this article to help out others, yes I did not mention MrGoMango in this article because I actually found this method out, but GoMango helped me a lot in the process I appreciate all the efforts he put in line for me. Yes I did buy the Redeye/Demon block, installed it for a good deal 8K for the whole block brand new.

Obviously every time you write an article there is a confusion somewhere, I'm not a newsletter writer so bare with me. You would remove the red Loctite after unloosing the pulley bolt, the red Loctite was applied to hold the bolt in the back of the shaft in place, once we unloosened the pulley bolt we need to go back to the shaft bolt in the back remove it and remove the red Loctite unless you want that bolt to be stuck in the future when you have to remove the pulley again possibly for some other reason. I hope that clears that up.
