Is there a TSB for the H&K amps being improperly wired?

I recall reading that thread too about it being wired wrong. Its certainly not as impresssive as I thought it would be, and I'd be a bit upset if I paid extra like the Charger guys have.

Lucky you challenger guys didn't have to buy this as an option, it sucks the big time and Dodge should refund every Charger owner that had to pay for this POS..........

Spoke to srt this.am, and they were in fact aware of issue. My challenger audio system is fair at best. No volume. Set informed me.that a flash for.the hk system is soon to arrive. Issue evidently is with amp and.not.head unit. Said flash is going to be done on vehicles already delivered, and cars at factory will have repair made there. I do not know if all of this is true, just passing along info given to me today from srt.

Had mine in today for upgrades. Technician mentioned the amp when I said speakers cut out from time to time. This occurs on all stations. Had the just released upgrade last month and it still happened. The correction is listed but might not be ready for prime time. It was not done on mine yet.

My dealer had my car all day for radio update and nothing changed. I even still have my pre set stations. Sounds like BS to me

2K is the same whether it is built in to the price or paid extra for it as an option.

The TSB released yesterday, May 6th, regarding amp issues in the Charger and 300C models. Challenger folks have no amp issues, apparently.

No it's NOT! To have the HK system it actually costs 2k more!!! A fully loaded Charger is 5k more than a Fully loaded Challenger. The HK systen is part of that Extra 5k.

I wonder if its just a speaker phase issue. That would make the subs cancel each other out. Pulling one out and disconnecting it would prove it pretty easily.

Had the amp flash done today and it makes a HUGE difference on all sources, but especially SXM and FM. Media sources still sound the best, but the whole system sounds like it should now. Now I feel as though the HK system was worth the additional cost. I would recommend getting it done ASAP!

I believe it is/was a phase issue. It is easier to get the amp firmware updated if you have a Charger HC, but it may be worth a shot for the Challengers since there is not currently a TSB available for them.

With mine ( charger)the front sounds great. However when the fader is turned all the way to the back there is slmost nothing. I really think it could be the bass signal is being sent to the tweeters & the tweeter signal is being sent to the base speekers.

I'd imagine that the fix is being applied to all new builds. My SRT was just recently ordered.
