So I'm in the middle of trying to have CCW build a set of custom wheels for my RE WB Challenger specifically for roll racing but still ok for street driving. What I want to do is have them build a set of their forged 3-piece D110's in a standard 20x11 for the front with the factory offset, and then the same wheel in 17x12 for the rears with a beadlock. I am going to go with bronze centers and polished lips and beadlock rings. They have confirmed they can add the beadlock to that wheel for me so that takes care of the first question. The questions that remain are: Will I need to alter the sway bar ends to have a 17" inch wheel fit? Or does that depend on how the wheel is built? I have looked all over these forums and have seen several answers but I don't think anyone that said yes or no was running a 12" inch wide wheel. The next question is does anyone know what the proper offset would be on a 12" inch wheel? I want them to be as flush with the outside edge of the fender flare as possible, but I'm not sure if the extra inch of width over the stock size all has to be added to the outside edge of the wheel or if any of it can go on the inside edge without causing problems. Is there anyone on this forum running a 17x12 beadlock wheel in back? If so, did you have to modify anything to make it work? What backspacing are you running?

I will certainly update this thread as it moves along. I sure wish someone on here had some experience with this. I guess I will be the first to try it.... I did see that there was at least one or two guys on these forums running 12" and 12.5" inch wide wheels but they were 20"s by Triumph if my memory serves me correctly. Maybe they could at least let me know what backspacing they are using on those and it will translate over to what I am doing. But I also know that some wheel manufacturers will not share that info for whatever reason.

What tire are you planning on running on the 17x12’s?
I am going to run M&H Drag Radials in a 345/45R17 size in the rear. I would love to run the M&H 390/40R17's but they are going to be a little too tall. The other potential tire choice is the 335/35R17 size drag radials from Hoosier.

Might be a stupid question but I didn’t see you mention the brakes……
Do 17” wheels clear the rear brakes?
Yes a 17" diameter wheel will clear the brakes. That is the smallest diameter that will clear the factory brakes. The problem then becomes the sway bar ends which have to be changed. From what I have read installing the shorter sway bar ends is an easy task, and there are 2 or 3 companies that make them for our cars. There is also a wire that has to be routed in a slightly different manner with zip ties to keep it from making contact with the wheel. Several people have said its an hour job total to do both sides.
