The initial excitement is starting to wear off, especially having to read, and here of all the delays, then no information coming from Dodge top brass for us loyal buyers

! Just read the December 2014 Car and Driver "American Heroes". In it the Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack, the Chevy Camaro SS 1LE, and the Ford Mustang GT are featured. Long story short, the Challenger wins on the most muscle (without HELLCAT option!), but comes in last on the "Grand Total" points. The points take into account the overall Vehicle, Powertrain, Chassis, and Experience. So for $25k more, I get the HELLCAT with the even-more powerful 6.1 Supercharged Hemi. OR I can buy two updated new generation Mustang GTs for what I will pay for ONE HELLCAT (almost). Having some serious second thoughts here!

I'm a GM guy through and through. The Hellcat is the only thing that made me look at Dodge. Dodge stepped up and stepped up big time. Stay the course my friend. Mustang are for girls unless heavily modded or a GT500 or 302 etc

I am with you Boss, check out my pics on gallery ;). I love pure muscle! I am in total agreement on Dodge is stepping up with the Hellcats, but the R/T especially with that hood scoop as pictured in the Dec. '14 Car n Driver w/Dodge boys. But at this point they have let many of us down. They could, at the very least keep us better informed on our money down, orders!

Pic is of my resto-modified 70 SS454 Chevelle LS6 ~ 600hp aluminum heads little monster....
I will keep the course for now :D

You know what clicked for me? The top dogs from the big 3 will be to my 3 sons what the 60's/70's muscle are to me. Seriously thinking about getting all 3 to pass on to my boys.

I agree, my wife says they're girls cars or kids cars. And neither one of them has any backseat room for the grandkids , like the Chally does. Anybody can buy a Mustang and anybody can buy a Camaro but , We are the few, the proud, the waiters. It will be worth it all in the end.
So very true, but I am also considering the Charger Hellcat ....

I will try to wait the course! FYI~I sent my recently married daughter :) the following image(s)of the Charger Hellcat! Very cool rear seat with kiddo seating! Thanks for the feedback!

Hey Juan: I am really sorry to hear that you are struggling with your choice. I cant imagine how you are feeling on that one. As most people know, I am a die hard Mopar girl so the answer is easy for me, but it is different for everyone and the reason I like Mopar is based on different factors then why others like Chevy or Ford. My dealer has a lot to do with that because the service is awesome and as you know, you spend a few hours with the sales peeps, but years with the service guys! My Mopar's have always been reliable with awesome power. They are well built and might be heavier than their competitors, but I know I still have power and I am protected. I am fairly tall and I hate cars without leg room, just getting into the Camaro was a pain in the a$$ because I had to have my knees up to my chin to get them in the driver seat. The Mustang has just never seemed as well built, again, just my preference. People I know who have them are always having little things fall apart or off in the interiors and some maintenance issues as they change. This is a non-issue for you mechanics so, that would not drive your decision. What I am trying to say is that the decision is based on what is important to you, not a magazine or our input. When you find the car that "fits" you, you just know...;) or I am just full of shizzy and place to much value on my cars!

I don't understand all this negative propaganda in the forums. we're brain washing ourselves to be angry and upset over this, keep in mind we are injecting ourselves into the factories order, build, and ship processes that they have been doing the same way for years, but we seem to be expecting a different result, and on top of that we take everything we hear/read and blow it out of proportion with all sorts or reasons why, and then blame Dodge for messing with us, and keeping our builds from us.

I know people that have ordered vehicles from back in the "70's" and current time and it has always been this way. some sort of delay for new cars/trucks, the cars sit in storage during the first allotment of builds, for whatever reason they do this, but it is always this way from what I know and have read. Maybe its because they want to make sure there are no issues before they are released so they don't have a huge recall of cars for some stupid reason that was missed during the first run, who knows and who cares....

If you want the car "Order it" and wait for there process how ever long it takes, just remember it is the process and will not change for your build. I believe things will pickup here after the first release of the first build allotment.

Lets be patient we will get our cars.........!

Yeah, it took me a while to get there. The scheduled ship dates and cancellations threw me off, but I have decided that my Hellbaby is worth the wait so, I just pray when it gets here I am still able to take it home!!:)
