I know I am going to get flamed for this but I want to run head to head. I have a Camaro ZL1 with some mods and I would like to see how they compare. I'm not doing this to be dis-respectful. I appreciate cars and I am curious how they would run. I live in the SLC area. Message me if you are interested.

A ZL1 stock has 580hp vs the Hellcat 707. There was a lot of power left on the table with the ZL1. I didn't say it has to be a stock Hellcat anywhere. I just figured no one would have really done anything to them yet as they are just arriving.

There was talk about a pulley swap from ati company, not sure where that's going, But depending on where you live, im sure someone will want to go at it with the ZL1, what kind of mods do you have

"Some mods"?...... and it weighs how much? Maybe you forgot to mention changes to the torque converter, rear end gears, or rear tires, cause I'm thinking that power plant would eat the stock drive line and tires in.............. a day or so?
Not to be disrespectful, but post a time slip and pic so we can all chuckle with you. :D

I would have to say that's not really a fair fight..
Seems to me like this fellow is more interested in finding a pigeon to pluck than discussing the Hellcat. Call it a gut feeling.

The strip closed before I got it out. The stock tires are garbage on the ZL1. I have some Michelin SS. I have done some road courses and the reason I bought it.

There is a dodge video of the Hellcat running a 10.8 stock 1/4 on drag radials. I think the race will be closer than you guys are letting on.

So the "850 package" wouldn't indicate the projected HP, would it? ...in a lighter car.....with stickier rubber, and a few other "enhancements"?

The video you refer to is promotional - they had unlimited runs to get that time. Yeah, it's NHRA certified, BUT no one here has even had their first oil change...... and you've obviously had time to do a "little tweaking" on your mildly modded car.
Why not visit the Shelby Forum? They've had some time to make "some mods" on their cars. You might find (more than) what you're looking for there. :D

I don't get why you guys are saying that. I being honest about what I have. I am just one car guy that wants to run against another. I'm not racing for slips or money. Don't video tape it if you want. I understand it is a stock car vs one that isn't. If you think I am setting you up, let run my bike then. A modded Harley Road Glide.

I don't get why you're here. No one races where you are? No other fast Camaro's in your area? Wouldn't you want to know where you stand against other Camaro's?

...wow. This is like me going over to a Camaro web site and saying " Hey, I would like to run one of your stock ZL1's against my "mildly-modified 68 Plymouth" and just so you know I have a worked over aluminum headed 440, 4200 convertor, 950 Barry Grant carb with a 250 shot of spray.Oh, in race trim my Plymouth weighs 3600 lbs..." .. Don't be bitter Camaros guys because the Hellcat comes out the gate from the factory faster than your stock cars do right now. There is always going be a faster car and yes Hellcats will get there doors blown off by faster street cars with better drivers everyday. Is just how it is......But...cool thing is....we have 700 HP plus with a warranty....:)

More then it's worth,, the hellcat is a forged engine, with hardened internals,, I'm sure once the ecm is cracked , we will be seeing 800 plus out of the motor
