ordered a 22 super stock in march, dealer says the order was jus picked up. was going to vtrade my 2019 hellcat in on it its a black with red interior m6 N>B> car according to dodge its the only one built in 2019 with those specs .... now im thinking it might be worth holding on to rather than trading it in dealer doesnt care either way jus thinking of value in the long term, an there is nothing like going thru the gears in a three pedal hellcat any thoughts ????

If you have the means to hold onto it, do it. You will miss the manual at some point. I will say the auto is awesome

Is Vtrade Vroom? Have you checked the cash buyout from Vroom and Carvana? To me, a stick is like a Harley with the mystique thing. Why go through all the extra effort if you don't have to? Things are worth nothing until you sell them.

Looking for long term investment while life passes on by. Drive'em, don't invest. There is only a handful that will be valuable sometime in the future like Demons, etc. But the future is now if you want to enjoy it. Do you want your gravestone to read "He had a really cool car in his garage that's worth $5k more since it has low miles and he kept it for investment purposes". Do what makes you happy!

Lousy financial investment, keep it only if it makes you happy.

I strongly suggest you keep it a while and drive both, see which entertains you the most. If you find the M6 no longer does anything for you, sell it.

You will find the SS to be shockingly faster. But you will miss the pure joy of the machine. In the M6 everyone knows you are driving a vehicle that actually requires skill, it is always in the right gear, and especially the burbble (the A8's hardly burrble at all unless you force it). I used to say, it would be nice to own both. ;)

The only (extra) "value" of your car might be the fact that it has a manual trans, but they made those in prior years too -- just not anymore. It wouldn't make it an investment though.
If you like the manual trans & can afford both....keep it, as you might miss the M6 later on.

thanks for the replies, i have never driven a hellcat A8 i know they are a better transmission, the only thing making me think about trading in the M6 is i can get just what i paid for it so that leaves alot of equity in the car, basically drove it for three years for free, an that would upgrade me to the SS. for the same payment i had

I’m a stick car enthusiast and I’ve never drove a A8 Hellcat until modding some with pulleys injectors etc and making tune changes dyno tuning etc etc and then taking one out for a test drive one day. They are more relaxing to drive and MUCH easier to not get caught off guard being in the wrong gear etc when surprised by a challenger coming up along side you when your just cruising and the A8 is just mash the gas and it instantly goes but it becomes boring very quick just driving and mashing the gas and steering the car when wanting to play, it felt too much like “just” a everyday driver and quickly became boring to drive. But like some have commented it would be GREAT to have both as for a track car I’d prefer an auto as they are quicker and easier to be consistent with at the track, and easier on driveline parts as well. But until I can have 2 the 1 I will keep is the stick car because I I drive it on the street way more then the track and on the street, for me at least, the thrill of a stick just never gets boring.

You sound like me wanting 2 hc. My next one is going to be a track hawk though and that one will be A8 for the Misses to drive. Being able to mash the gas whenever is a +. In my old neighborhood in the way home there was always a track hawk that liked to roll race. A few times he caught me off guard until he didn’t. That’s just ego stuff at that point though. Most of the I wish I had A8 for putting around town running errands. I’m not always trying to first gear it to 6000rpm to the shop up the street.

Saying something is worth nothing until you sell it is like Saying if you’re not first you’re last. Huh?
