Hell-Bent, Tmb828Hellcat, and I were at a show in Arcadia, MD. 30 minutes after someone mentioned something about a Hellcat badged Scat Pack Challenger running around, the guy shows up. Doesn't see us and parks elsewhere. We take a walk to check it out, and to get some photos.

The guy spots our cars and makes his way over there. Tmb828Hellcat chats with him and the guy says he has a Dodge installed, full factory warrantied, 7.2L Jegs motor with the rest of the car stock. Claims to have 800hp, all motor.

I like giving people the benefit of the doubt but this is really hard to wrap my head around. I don't know a lot about motors but this seems impossible. To me the main reason I don't believe him is the fact that he doesn't show the work. If I had a 800hp motor in my car I would be riding around with a see through hood and chatting up strangers at red lights, making them notice the 7.2L monster.

Also, he plans to put "killer" under the Hellcat badge.

Price sounds right for aluminator engine thru bes but doubt he has stuffed in there it should be 18-26k depending on heads and cam

Nah, you can get a bore/stroked V8 to 440 cu/in (7.2L).

Here's the problem. He would have to have the entire engine rewired because it changed over for 2015. Also, Mopar doesn't make a modern gen crate 440...

Then there is the matter of tuning the darn thing.

Definitely not pushing 800hp naturally aspirated. The 440 would be a torque monster but HP would be in the 550-650 realm.

people need to get over the envy and be happy with what they can afford...its a great car that 99% of people would love to own....but he wants to pretend he has $25k more, so he up badges

people copy the top model in any performance car........look for HC hoods and front ends on RT's and normal SRT's

What a clown poser! Lol. Why not just buy the base challenger sxt and upbadge! Spending over $40k on the scat pack and then claiming to spend another $30k on mods...and that too without warranty!!!

The Scat pack is iconic in it's own right. I own the HC but have profound respect for the scat pack and its proud heritage/legacy. I would love to own the scat pack as well, if the opportunity presented itself. Some folks are always infected with vanity and complexes, and are never content with what they have. Well, as they say: "Whatever floats your boat."

It doesn't matter if he has the motor or not. You don't re-badge a car... It is what it is from the factory. Folks who do that annoy me to no end.
